The real secret is to go in with the idea of purely enjoying the experience for itself, while paradoxically doing things that promote the result you want (generally sleeping with the girl/girls). It's like a zen artform. If you are actually focused on having a good time and sharing fun and good emotions then any 'rejection' is essentially meaningless.

Secret to business, and I've heard this repeated countless times by various billionaires and multimillionaires including steve jobs, is relentless work ethic and persistance. The unfair advantage is working 80+ hours a week when everyone else is working 40, and building your own business/income when everyone else is building one for someone else.

However, as with women and anything, another key is that it has to be focused on offering value and not purely looking to get rich quick type of thing. It's hard to work hard when you don't believe in what you're doing at all.
