It's fucking outrageous. And none of them like taking the responsibility for being the asshole. My family doc said it's really low, but he doesn't think I need any supplement since I seem to be doing "ok" despite my list of ongoing problems and if I was to go to a urologist for a second opinion he referred me out to a urologist. The urologist claimed that he thinks it's very dangerous to have such low test and that I need an increase, but he doesn't do prescription supplements because he's against it. Went back to family doctor with that documentation and he said he disagrees. I complained and he referred me out to a endocrinologist...he said he's not sure why my doc sent me to him, but he wanted to do a thyroid test to see if something was up there. Nope I'm fine there. The endocrinologist suggested I back to the urologists and I did and the urologist referred me out to a doctor than "handles" chemical therapy or whatever. That doctor has his head up his ass and said my test levels are dangerously low and i seem to show signs of it but he doesn't think i need it..do my doctors want me to grow a vag...

The real problem is they don't account for age ranges in the testosterone levels.

So if you're 20 and you have 150 ng/dl they will tell you that you are fine. Even though the average for a 20 year old is like 750

What they don't teach you in school is that doctors are there to serve YOU, not the other way around

The doctor panicked and kicked everyone out of the room and brought in the mobile ultrasound. I know that's a specific case, but here's what you do. If say you have chronic migraines and the doctors says no meds then you tell him you want something for it and if the doctor, just like any other profession like lawyers or politicians, will try to skate around it and never help you. Be blunt tell them you want help or a referral, a new doctor, call the head of the system. When they try to avoid it don't let them bully you just say no this is what you want and keep it up. The problem is they are supposed to be servants to the people and take care of them for a nominal fee, but if they can get a paycheck and not do their job or not care then they make out like a fiend while you suffer

We have no private clinics so that fucking sucks. Doctors just get paid based on visits in most cases, so they'll book you for as many appointments as possible to keep the $$$$$$$ flowing, as well as pretty much kick you out the office with their body language.
