Yes. Squatted pain free for so long and it came back out of the blue. I don't mind not squatting. I don't particularly like squats, big I need a healthy knee.

That sucks a dick. Idk dude mine wasn't Osgood and I only did enough research into the condition to figure out it wasn't what I had.
Go back to an ortho or therapist if it keeps up I guess is the only thing I can say.

Costant erector/low lats pain on both sides of my back.
I have been training through it for a bit,I can endure the pain but my lower back feels very stiff most of the time.
I try to smash it with lacrosse ball every day,any other stretch I can do to unfuck my back?

Lots of rest from things that irritate it obviously. Consistent icing. Stretching and strengthening the hip muscles, including the glutes.
That's about all I could say. Osgood is a whole different beast from most knee pain as I understand it.

So I just got off the phone with Greg Page (who is apparently a pretty well known powerlifter) and he said after watching my squat video that my problem is a combination of weak hamstrings and not keeping my back tight.

He said it's definitely not that my back is weak, I'm just doing a bad job of keeping it tight and at the very bottom of my squat, I stop sitting back and my butt just drops.

I guess it's time to target my hamstrings a lot more and work on engaging my lats.

I'm actually training hamstrings too lately, realized my back is strong as shit and that I stiff-leg literally every deadlift after the first two reps while my hammies are ridiculous twink-mode bullshit

Yeah, I think I'm the same way. My conventional got over 4 pl8s with basically doing a SLDL since I was not really recruiting my hamstrings at all. I've switched to sumo and I think it's working a bit better now though.

You realise the primary mover on SLDLs is the hamstrings, right? Even more than the glutes, and even more than in conventional deadlifts.

Actually my sumo is blowing past my old conventional max. I've been doing it for 2 months so far and I'm going for a 1RM next week, expecting to put on about 30 lbs from my best conventional ever.

You don't understand, the muscles that raise your back are your hamstrings and glutes. The hamstrings are specially the most important for the SLDL. Rounding your back doesn't change that.

Your back muscles don't raise your back. They only pull the bar towards your body and straighten your spine. What raises the back is, again, hamstrings and glutes.

If your SLDL is your strongest deadlift, your weakness is not your hamstrings, That's your strength.

Greg Page is wrong. If your SLDL is your strongest deadlift, there's no possible way in hell that your hamstrings are your weakness.

Your weakness are your erectors and quads. Add front squats to your routine.

this actually. since you go straight to a goodmorning i'd say it's probably weak quads because you can't keep tension and push yourself out of the hole, so you rock forward and put the weight on your hamstrings and back.
