Maybe he did just suck at trying to lose the weight, but from what I know I'm pretty sure that the weight gain (instead of weight loss) was intentional.

You don't. Period.

Limit yourself to 4/5 meals a day and don't eat out of them. Snacking plays a big part on people getting fat. A cookie here, another cookie there, doesn't seem like much, at the end of the day you ate a whole package and with it 1000 calories and sugar for days.

Goal number one is to eat at a calorie deficit. It doesn't fucking matter how healthy something is if it brings you above your calorie target.

Try to eat things that are filling (proteins, fiber) so you don't feel the need to snack.

I try not to snack on cookies and sweets. (only sometimes eat 4-5 mints a day but they have like 3 calories each)

I've bought a mix of almonds, cashews and pistachios, they have like 500 cal/100 g

Bought 250 grams of nuts and have been snacking on them for 3 days.
Also fried celery with cashew yesterday.

You need a deficit relative to the total amount expended. But 1000 cal from cardio sounds a bit high, that's like 10 miles of running.

Sure it happens, if you have cancer or anorexia. Yes, you lose small amounts of muscle when you eat at a deficit but it's a last resort and a very inefficient method of getting glucose. You aren't going to cause any serious damage by dieting.

I try to do that. I'll probably go to grocery to buy some greens now and make a salad with egg to snack on.

Yesterday - 1 hour of cycling at ~200 watts, 40 min of stairmaster. Today - 1 hour of light cycling, which burnt ~500 calories according to the calorie counter on the machine.

Nuts are healthy in that they have good protein profiles, micronutrients, fibre and fats. However they are generally more than 50% fat, which adds up calorifically very fast. While serving size varies based on the type of nut, you really shouldn't be having more than 30g per day

For other nutritious snacks, look at something like:
- unseasoned popcorn (you can add salt and olive oil/butter too)
- greek yogurt with berries, oats and nuts
- boiled eggs
- edamame
- celery and peanut butter

Steamed broccoli tastes great with a pinch of salt. Rice and pickles go really well together. Lemon pepper chicken is tits. You can make an awesome sauce for chicken with two tablespoons of hot sauce and one of honey.

I haven't grown bored with food yet since I started cooking for myself and I'm easily maintaining 14-1600 calorie range.

I feel like layouts of cities forces fat fucks to stay inside or at least in their cars. I just moved to a rural Ontario town where many people drive every two feet and have never seen fatter people.

The real issue isn't what to make, but finding time and money. At least hats my case. I work evenings, and trying to cook st 9-10 pm is a pain. Not to mention that it can add up quickly.

What do you think is the money issue? A weeks worth of food for my roommate and I never exceeds forty dollars, and we eat chicken breasts, fresh veggies, some fruit, rice - which, at least that last one is super cheap. We also buy the chicken that is discounted and cook it all as soon as we get home then freeze or refrigerate it, depending on how much we get.

As for time, how much downtime do you generally yourself with? You can flip chicken and stir rice during breaks in most hobbies, or even while getting ready for bed at night. What do you do on your days off? Why not plan for the days ahead?

It's probably lying to you. At a BMR of 2k you should weigh about 250lbs.

says you burned around 172 calories, the stairmaster 680, and surprisingly 624 for the hour. Okay wow that took an unexpected turn for 1476 calories burnt.
