Doesnt make it correct desu it puts you into a much weaker position and also in a much more dangerous position for you shoulder, especially your rotator cuff.
Excessive flaring is bad, and rhough you dont have to tuck your elbows that much, when you flare so much that your elbow is not under the bar any more you are just doing it wrong.
He complains about shoulder issues in another video btw.
