I pop 6 of those bad boys because lyle mac donald told me to
fuck you lyle

They're good for your joints and recovery.

They're not especially expensive either when you think about it.

Sticky said to for heart. I can't tell you if it works since I'm a recovering fat (as of last week no longer obese), but I've taken them for 7 months now

Fish Oil isn't necessary if you regularly eat fish on a daily basis, if not then it's necessary.

everything is a meme
your body makes what it needs
just eat rice

too many sources say it's good for me to discredit it

help Veeky Forums
interested to take some daily since i dont eat fish very often
any good brands? reputable sources?

My eyes are clearer, hair is more shiny, and my skin is more moisturized.

Eat them with sucrose and they'll make you fat.

Have a nice day.

Fish oil has been a huge help for my skin, even though most guides don't mention that as a benefit. If I stop because I ran out of went on vacation I break out with at least one giant face zit in about 3 days.

Totally worth it for me. I get em cheap at Costco.

>10 calories per pill
>make you fat
You're going to have to explain this one to me.

What do you mean settle it once and for all? Nobody ever says it's a bad thing. Why would you even bother making this thread?

SURE IT'S JUST 10 CALORIES, JERRY

BUT YA KNOW

10 CALORIES HERE

10 CALORIES THERE

IT ADDS UP JERRY! YOU JUST EAT 10 CALORIES WHEN YOU REALLY GOTTA AND THEN SUDDENLY ONE DAY, BOOM! YOU'RE FAT!

>As of last week no longer obese

Congratulations!

we're all gonna make it

This is actually the funniest thing ive read on this site.

Go watch that Frontline episode about supplements. It was enough to turn me off fish oil. Waste of money for no proven benefit.

I was taking one pill a day at night and it did help with my acne. I know it was the pills because when I stopped buying them I broke out again.

I don't take fish oil but I take flaxseed oil, which has a daily dose of omegas 3,6 and 9. Cheap as fuck, lasts a long time, one a day AND supposedly healthy for my heart. I've looked into some FDA studies, but FDA don't do shit anymore

congrats my man, don't slow down

jej

I used to do that and i'm pretty sure it impacted my hormonal levels. just take 3 like you're supposed to and be a good goy.

Fish oil may contain persistent organic pollutants such as PCB and DDT, as well as toxic elements such as arsenic and mercury.

A better alternative is an algae-based Omega-3 supplement.

Congratulations!. I recently went below obese BMI a couple of weeks ägo. We're all finns make it.

t. vegan doctor

Tfw 18 pounds away but I hit a plateau and decided to say fuck it and go ahead and chase the gains

Eating is for plebs, photosynthesis is the future bro.

Are you saying PCB and DDT are a good thing?

Why would you think all fish and fish oils have meaningful amounts of those? Even prescription ones like Vascepa and Vayacog?

labdoor.com/rankings/fish-oil

If you eat fish you don't need them.
If you don't and can't get omega3 elsewhere they're good.

Don't overdose tho and take the recommend amount.
Your body uses omega fat acids to metabolise fat soluble substances like Vitamine D
an overdose will harm you

>overdosing on supplements

nigger what? these aren't pharmaceutical pills

Took my fish oil pill this morning. Got me wondering how these pills are made. Don't they need a shitload of fish to extract all the oil? If so, how can these pills be so cheap?

>cant overdose supplements
try 4 scoops of pic related, buddy

>Despite this one study, you should still consider eating fish and other seafood as a healthy strategy. If we could absolutely, positively say that the benefits of eating seafood comes entirely from omega-3 fats, then downing fish oil pills would be an alternative to eating fish. But it’s more than likely that you need the entire orchestra of fish fats, vitamins, minerals, and supporting molecules, rather than the lone notes of EPA and DHA.

oops didn't mean to quote

Ok so you take non-contaminated fish oil. But you are still contributing to the collapse of the marine ecosystems and destruction of ocean wildlife.

Algae-derived Omega-3 works just as good. It's also from algae where the fish get their omega-3.

There are two reasons to take them, well actually just one. Its the same reason why you consume whey protein.

>cheaper than fish in the same amount

Now most people consume them to get rid of their deficiencies. It helps a lot with that.

But once you are no longer deficient. Once you eat fish once in a while, they are still cheaper than fish and you dont have to prepare them like you would with fish.

Consuming an extreme dose of them wont do you additional good, but a normal dose will be.

They probably should be part of your main diet by now. Just as protein shakes are.

how much omega 3 is recommended from fish oil

How can something that is basically a tablespoon of oil be 10 calories. It should be over 100. What do they do to the stuff?

>cheaper than fish
I live on an island in a non-polluted ocean zone. Fish is free of charge and contaminants. Keep your snake oil while I eat wild salmon, k tnhx.

it's one gram per pill, fuckface

it's what I did and I half assed it and gained fat and not a lot of strength gains. I suggest you actually drop the remaining 18 pounds and start there. Have patience.

Examine.com/fishoil

I take three a day since about a week ago. They apparently improve skin elasticity, and I don't want my belly skin to hang in folds after I lose the 80 lbs I gotta lose to not have a disgusting gut anymore.

because they're a fucking waste product. companies could bottle fucking shit particles and somehow convince you retards to take them because "trust me bro, they're good for you. here, have these studies that show you they cure cancer. oh? i didn't tell you they're funded by me? it's okay, bro, they're completely unbiased. :D"

fucking retards. keep buying protein powder and fish oil, vitamin pills and creatine since "they don't cost that much, what are you, poor?"

mongoloids.

...Mine weigh like 6 grams :/

>I don't know what independent testing is

>protein powder
Am I getting memed?

you can do it, user!

Then why even say anything?

>there's your (You), desperate attention whore.

Got you responding didn't I.
Slut.

>admitting to being lonely

>>/r9k/

Oh yes, daddy. Give'em (you)s.

shut up you pencil cocked imbecile

Is not

what

Y-you gonna punish me, daddy?

omg PISS OFF

Lol. Am I making daddy angry?

I was vegetarian for like 20 years. My body was deprived of this stuff. When I tried it, it improved my oveall health dramatically. So, if you eat fish, it's waste of money, if you don't, it can be lifesaver, quite literally. And don't get me wrong, vegetarian diet was godbless for me, fixed so many health problems it was like a miracle, still human body needs omega 3, B12 and stuff like this.

>cheaper than fish in the same amount

they're not, when you take into account protein, calories, iodine, phosphatydilserine, uridine and all the stuff in fish. Fish can be polluted and it's a problem, but clean fish is superior to pills, both in price and in health benefits.

> cancer patients eats supplements because they help them
> measure omega 3 in the blood of cancer patients
> hurrrr supplements cause cancer!
