I stopped drinking because I was sick of waking up and thinking about how much of a fucking idiot I was the night before.

I never had that problem, it's the massive weight gain that's making me cut down drastically on the booze

I've found that I've lost weight by going out and drinking every weekend. Probably due to the fact that I have no appetite the following days after. Still hitting PRs, although not as regularly.

Then do what I did and switch to only captain and diet coke. Only 8 oz at any given time at most unless it's a celebration. Buy an 8 oz flask to help pace yourself.

stretch marks come from an excess of estrogen in your body, they aren't actually from stretching. Beer probably was the cause of the stretch marks though since beer has shitloads of estrogen.

OP makes it sound like he's blaming the booze for getting fat, and while it can be pretty high in calories, it usually pales in comparison to all the snacks you eat while drinking.

Also, your logic a shit. Unless all you're eating is celery, in which case yeah, booze would be the most fat inducing part of your diet.

You do realize that a 6 pack (what most people drink to get drunk) is like 800 calories right? That's almost half of a 2000 calorie diet.

No shit? It's still a problem with the fact that the person is drinking in the first place. The problem is still the booze. You can skip a meal all you want but it's not a healthy idea to skip vitamins rich food so you can get drunk. I think you and I agree, but are just saying different things.

I'm saying that people rarely drink with nothing added to it, and then they think it's just the booze that made them fat. No shit you can get fat from booze, it's still calories, especially if those calories are above your daily norm. But, technically speaking, if you put those calories into you daily intake and you're still going at a deficit, then no, you won't gain weight. At the end it still just energy going in versus energy being used up.

Yeah but the main problem is the self-medication aspect. If they could just stop drinking then they probably COULD eat the 800 cals of greasy foods.
