I've been doing shrugs with 170kg for 3x10 on wednesday and on the second set at the 7th repetition my lower back started hurting, a stinging pain, but I finished the set and the workout (dips and lateral raises) but didn't do any more shrugs afterwards.
Well next morning I spent three minutes trying to get out of bed and every step hurt.
I went to work and all because I read that besides heat, walking around while not lifting anything will help.
Today is saturday and it basically still stings the same way it did on thursday.
Is this a thing that will heal with time? What is it called?
I think I didn't warm up my back/lower back enough on wednesday

It's a mixture of widening your grip slightly and pulling your shoulders back and down and pulling the bar into your back like you're trying to bend it over your shoulders.

I like triples for time (got down around 15 minutes at one point IIRC), or sets of 5 on the minute.
So a friend of mine is hoping to get back into training this Autumn. He thinks his schedule will be Wed-Sat-Sun, and some weeks (8 weeks in total) might even just be Sat-Sun. Can only lift about 1-1.5h each time as well.
How would you schedule lifting on such a schedule? I was thinking of full body Wed and U/L on Sat/Sun, but what when he can only go Sat/Sun?
Think I'll make it an e-mail and get it shipped tonight some time. E-mail to get a bit more transparency.
