I'm an intermediate lifter who has never trained with a belt. I lack a little self control because if I do ever use one I just wanna throw it on at the lightest sets and take away a little bit of the struggle.
As a result I stopped using it because I saw it as a crutch.

My view point in the matter has changed however and supposedly a belt engages your abdominal a more which is something I'm interested in. (However Mike T seems to disagree?)

How can I interpreted a belt into my training? I run sheiko int high load. When should I strap it on? Should I only use it for one lift such as the squat and not the deadlift?

What is your view point? What would you suggest based off your experience and mistakes?

Yeah I no longer see it as a crutch, the opposite if anything. Just what I USE to think and subsequently caused me to train without one.

Belts feel great when squatting, only tried it a couple days ago and I really enjoyed it. A little so much that I belted up for some easy warm up sets...
Deadlifts howeve I've tried once to do with a belt and couldn't get anything out of it, felt harder if anything.
I should try that again though, I have a long torso so a thick 13mm belt shouldn't really get in the way.

I guess my question is; what percentages should I start belting up at? To get the best of both worlds.
Or should belting not be a consistent thing? Is it something you should do all the time or like a variation to the lift?

Does anyone know any ways I can squat four times a week or is there any method for that?

I wanted to try working up to a daily max and doing backoff but I'm not sure if thats effective for only four days.

It'll work. Alternatively, take a look at an INOL chart and do whatever S/R you want throughout the week to add up to ~3 INOL, and do some moderate deadlifting.

You lift too much with your back, and round a bit much. Work on a starting position that allows you to engage your hamstrings more

This is pretty arbitrary.

I belt up at about 200kg in squats and 220kg in deadlifts. But this is just my preference.

I dont really believe in beltless work, so I dont think theres anything good to get from it. Maybe something mental. Maybe.

Most lifters would belt up at much lower than that. Closer to second to last warmup weight or even sooner.

What percentage of your top set should your block pulls be at? Did triples off the floor with like RPE 8 and then did sets of 4 off blocks with the same weight and it was around RPE 5.
