They are not too large but well defined. I lifted 2-3 years ago and tried to lose it all over the past years. I got rid of most of it but the traps have been particularly stubborn.

I'm also a professional touring drummer so my upper body is always getting hit when I work.

Killing yourself will shrink them pretty quickly

Take before pictures from all angles and start starving yourself. If you are not happy with the results, stop starving yourself but do compare before and after and try to pass an objective judgement.

Well your traps won't go away if you keep eating at a surplus, but how about giving your body more time and seeing how much of a nuisance they will be when you're at a higher bodyfat percentage? It's not like women have zero trap muscle. And you can always try starving yourself on a low protein diet in a few months when your body is full estrogen mode at which point your body will prioritize male fat and more importantly those pesky muscles. Nothing to do but to be patient in my opinion because you NEED to be in caloric deficit for your body to burn those muscles at an appreciable rate. Otherwise you can only hope for the HRT to work its magic while eating low protein in general but that will definitely take longer than a few months. You have to keep at it either way. I know you want it all right now and so do but that's the way the body works I'm afraid

Somehow I knew you'd say that before I opened this thread, OP. I've been on HRT for a little over two years. I lost 15 pounds going from 180 to 165 (goal is 140 or so, I'm 5'7) and I didn't lose any of my HRT gains.
