tips on keeping elbows pain-free?
cold weather is making it very difficult to keep my elbows warm. any supplement or med to prevent or alleviate the pain? recommended stretches?

On a semi related note, does olympic weightlifting have more injuries than powerlfiting? Are there any stats for this?

There was a chart going around that says powerlifting has more injuries per time than olympic weightlifting, but I wouldn't be surprised if most of those injuries are from the bench.

Most powerlifters train like 3-6 times a week to be competitive. Most oly lifters train like 6 times a week and have 1-3 sessions a day.

So what do you think..

Decided to learn front squats and power cleans until I make a home gym with bumper plates so I can do oly lifts
I have a problem though

it isn't comfortable to get into that front squat/power clean catch position, what flexibility work do I need to?
I can somewhat get into position when the bar is in the rack but then I do my first rep and my elbows start poiting down, can't really hold that elbows pointing forward position

Is the +105 olympics in 1h or tomorrow?

And where could I see it?

Perfect. I've got a knee injury because of my new job that has me do a movement where I have to use my glutes a lot, so my glutes are getting too stiff. I roll them and do a few stretches but the problem is I've got hypermobility so regular stretches don't cut it. I do the pidgeon once a day and it just doesn't cut it. What kind of stretches should I do to fix this?

I actually stopped weightlifting because of that, I try to do very controlled, light squats (100kg or so) once or twice a week but I can't do more without feeling pain. I'm on a push/pull right now with elements of weightlifting that I can do until I get this fixed.

Not really it's very common. Just work on mobility and speed and work on adding numbers and depth as you go.

Many noobs are slow even if they can sit in a deep squat, someone who can only power but mves quick will still lift more than someone who can hit an atg snatch but is slow as fuck
