The things I mentioned were taking care of your skin and dressing well. Taking care of your skin is good for obvious reasons and knowing how to dress yourself is also important. I understand that the majority of people don't know much about anything sartorial, but trust me, the way you dress makes a big impact. It can impress, intimidate, allow you to blend in, imply emotions or social status... It's just another useful thing, user. Looking good in general is also not a bad thing; people appreciate it. I'm not telling you to put make up on and curl your eye lashes or get rid of hand calluses, but trimming your beard, taking care of your skin, applying cologne and learning about how to dress are all things that anyone would benefit from in most environments.
