NOW JUST WAIT A MINUTE

NOW JUST WAIT A MINUTE

Starches are BAD when theyre ABUSED! Or when the starch is pretty much the entirety of the meal!

An example of starch abuse is pasta dishes! Pasta dishes are pretty much flavored starch! Even worse when lathered in saturated fat!

The proper way to use starches is to make it so that they are just a small, but integral part of the meal!

An example of proper starch use is when the orientals have dinner! A small bowl of rice is to be had with a wide variety of vegetables and meats!

Shut the fuck up faggot.

god-tier pasta dish coming through outta my way saucefags and other Italian mustache-twirling cakeboys. You eat this every day and you grow big

>orientals
>a small bowl of rice
>>small

The rice is most of their meal

being afraid of carbs is the most retarded thing in the world

Carbs are literally just fucking sugar. Sugar is terrible for humans.

nope

Our bodies are built to digest carbohydrate. Dumping a ton of processed sugars in our blood stream at once with no fiber or antioxidants isn't good for us but carbs in their natural form are what the human animal eats.

who knew that too much of anything is a bad thing???

Keep telling yourself that, sugar addicts.

...

>sugar addicts

That's just being a human

Carbs are the brain's primary fuel source. You literally walk around all the time with a hazy lightheadedness when try to cut as many carbs as possible from your diet.

Oriental meals are like 70% rice you fucking weeaboo faggot

Just like being black, right?

Yes /pol/

The brain runs on fat. Sugar is a slow acting poison.

The brain literally cannot use fat as fuel. It uses glucose, with ketones as a backup

why are you like this

It runs on Glucose. You know what happens when diabetics go hypoglycemic? They eventually go into a coma.

More like glucose is the backup when your body is flooded with toxic carbs that it needs to quickly get rid of.

You do realize that when the brain doesn't get enough carbs, it converts protein and fat into glucose, right?

What happens when benzo abusers go into withdrawal, sugartard? Should we all take benzos now? Your carbosis is maillarding your brain.

but user, sugar is poison!!!

>sugar is poison
>if you don't eat any sugar, your body converts protein and fat into sugar
K
You got taken by the keto meme; it's okay. We all make mistakes.

>oh no, TOXINS! what do we do?!
>I know-- send it to the brain!

>good
Potatoes, sweet > white but both are good
Wholegrains
Underripened fruit/veggies

>garbage
Any refined grain, including white rice and pasta
Added sugar

Carbs + Fat = Fat gain

Carbs + Protein = No fat gain, provided you aren't in caloric excess

Fat + Protein = No fat gain, provided you aren't in caloric excess

Legumes are also very good

How can carbs + fat lead to fat gain without a caloric excess?

>Orientals
>small bowl of rice
No

>Modern Western pasta dishes
>Not a tiny amount of carbs slathered in oil, meat and cheese
No

Starch keeps people lean and healthy, so the general population should be getting most of their calories form it. Obviously if you have higher proton intake, your carbs will be somewhat lower

Removing protein from the diet even without a deficit causes the body to breakdown muscle into protein so that you can get the essential amount of protein required per day. The result is your muscle mass decreases but you're not on a deficit so your fat mass increases to keep your bw the same.

>to keep your bw the same

Muscle has negative mass?

Article fails to mention that de novo lipogenesis costs 25-30% of energy, so on a high-carb low-fat diet you gain 25% less fat than would be predicted from energy balance compared to normal fat intake.

>legumes
How could I forget? Legumes are 10/10, fuck paleo losers
Already factored into the calorie count. Calories on labels are very inaccurate but for other reasons

>Already factored into the calorie count.
No it is not and that wouldn't even make any sense since de novo lipogenesis is an irrelevant pathway in virtually everybody. If 4 cals/g included full DNL then the actual more typical case of oxidation would be 5.3 cals/g. The calorie value for carbohydrates is for direct use as energy which is what usually happens.
