I lifted max 3 days after an adominal hernia so I would assume you could with a root canal surgery.

I personally wouldn't advise it, the pain in your jaw is gonna throw you off especially if you clench your jaw like some guys do when lifting heavy, you may also be experiencing the effects of general anaesthetic if you are given it, which can cloud your mind.
It's a judgement call.
