What does Veeky Forums do for a living?

How do you afford food, gym and supps?

Software developer.

Mainly straight porn looking to get into gay porn through, it pays better.

>Comp Sci Undergrad
>Student loan and froogle kike tendencies
>Only take vitamin D and its pretty cheap
>tfw rent boys give you a discount if your bottom

Titty Connoisseur

>collect disability, ebt, and medicaid to cover most living expenses
>have full ride to my school for engineering, with about 2.5k in scholarship refunds coming in every semester
The only thing I don't cover myself are car insurance and my phone which are covered by my mom

I work, same as When I was in uni, diet was shit because parents were tight on money and I too autismal and addicted to video games to get a fuckin job. I cringe everytime I recall.

I'm 26 and starting to turn things over, am I gonna make it?

>Software developer.
In democratic people's republic of France tho.

I have a job.

Random quote, disregard

I'm a uni student but I work cleaning in a craft beer brewery, gay I know but free beer and pay under the table is cool. I also got into washing windows which is extremely lucrative for some reason. I'm now bringing in almost NZ$500 a week with that and the student allowance from the lovely socialist government while only working about 10 hours per week.

Only catch is I have to get up at 5am for work most days and usually finish class at 5pm so days are long. Life is a lot more satisfying than when I was a neet though, between work study and gym I feel like I'm going somewhere and can handle life.

/blog

I am now 35 and it seems every other dev is now either relatively healthy or a fucking disgusting slob. No middle ground, either a runner or lifter or a mountain dew fanatic that comes in at noon.

I'm a film director, made a few successful documentaries that you could have seen and two features that you problably haven't. Funny that /tv/ would never believe me.

I also do some photography gigs on the side to get a plus.

>Funny that /tv/ would never believe me.

Maybe post the title of your work?

Do share, I love documentaries

I work at a gas station
12 something an hour plus full benefits and full time

I like it because it's a lazy job and interesting

Everyone has a story and after working there for four years I learned one thing

You never know what's gonna come through that door

Have you done anything recently?

I'm in the same boat. I'm a musician and I had two slight radio hits in the US, I'm by no means ultra famous but chances are you might have heard one or two of my songs about a year ago.

Do you have Battletoads?

>tfw mechanic
A dirty and pretty un/fa/ job but the dirty lifestyle doesn't come home with me. The job doesn't make the person.

Beach Patrol lifeguard

I care too much about my anonymity, specially on Veeky Forums.

I'm working on a new documentary about the civil war of a country in Europe, and I'm also in the very early phases about a documentary about puppets and the pupeteer world (kek). These things are risky go very slow, but with a good distributor you can make good money in the end.

>I care too much about my anonymity, specially on Veeky Forums.

I don't know what kind of documentaries do you do, but usually films are a multi person project.

Getting distributed in the music world is pretty tough, I'm lucky I got some radio play at all honestly. The most recent thing I did was a film soundtrack but it fell apart in the pre-production stages and didn't happen so I haven't done anything since.

Fuck I mean the movie fell apart pre-production, not the soundtrack. I managed to complete about 20 minutes of stuff before finding out it was cancelled.

I'm a scholar. I get paid with state money to do some research on legal theory, and also to teach in uni.

>documentaries
>multi person project
not anymore

Military, work with computers

Farmer

Game developer.

Had a few commercial failures on mobile, a few contracts for web games, 1 moderate failure on PC, and currently in development of another.

Lifting helps unwind from long, thankless work days of animating and I'm broke most the time, but I manage with my home gym (dumbbells and pull-up bar).

One of my co-workers would rather not commit to any more contract work because it isn't creative enough for him, but I'm trying to keep the power on at the office so I've been lifting heavy the last few days.

Field engineer in a particle accel. facility
Quite unfit considering the amount of rads I get

Do you collide large hardons for a living?

Banking sector lobbyist.

Accountant
Very little time to workout, really

boarder security and having my police test in two weeks

work at novartis. pay is decent, since I live at home I can technically afford whatever I want, if I wasn't saving up for a new car and paying loans.

...

Border for who? Israel? Tavor pls go.

Gay for pay (srs), no one knows about it, natty though, going to hand in my natty card by the end of the year if not sooner

How did you get into the industry?

>g4p

Technical integration consultant.

Designing and developing SOA solutions.

Producer at a radio station.

yeah i'm israeli

Psych nurse. Love it but seen some fucked up shit. mental health gains are as important as physical ones guys

Industrial Engineer...saved up for the past 6 years about 90k then quit my job, started back lifting instead of drinking.

Trappin

my grandmother passed away about 18 months ago, she left me and my brother a house which we sold as we couldn't live in it as its part of a retirement village type-deal, I quit my last job as a financial advisor to letting/estate agents so I could focus on training and joining the military, I use that money to sustain myself, have about £40k left, which I plan on keeping for when I'm a bit older, have spent about £35k in the last year, haven't got a single materialistic possession to show for it.

medical equipment sales rep

Maccas.
2 Doubles and a milkshake 5 days a week bro.

I'm a student and a have a tutoring side jobb (mostly helping high school kids with math & econ)
Trying to get the job as office assistant for the tutoring agency I work with, would bring in (relatively for me) loads of money.

Paramedic

im on student allowance and general welfare and i can afford smoking, bulking at +4500 kcal, roids and a gf

not much left for fun though unless i get some extra money somehow, most of the time we go out we just go somewhere cheap to eat and i pretty much spend no money on anything like electronics or clothes unless ive scored some extra dosh so most goes for food, rent and other bills

I work at a pizza shop on a salary wage which means my boss can get away with paying me less than minimum wage for over 70 hours a week but if I miss a day my pay gets docked.

Go to a college just down the road so I live at home rent free. Only things I have to pay for is Gym/Supps (Steroids in my parents eyes)/whenever I go out. Food and gas is free cause they'd rather I work at the USGS for free than be some wagecuck at Chipotle or some shit like that.

Have an unpaid internship so no real job but one of my professors pays me $150 a week for being a Teaching Assistant but all I do is sit around doing homework/studying. I'll have to start running some machines and teaching other students about them but that wont take much time out of my 10 hours.

ull make it brah keep at it.

Chemistry/Physics teacher

> mfw people assume I educate PE because I'm fit

Maths/Physics teacher

can relate

How's it like? what are the requirements btw? have you seen some fucked up shit and does it scar you?

I can only speak from an Australian perspective. It takes a 3 year bachelor degree and 1 year internship. The roster is fantastic for someone young whose only hobbies and gym and video games, 4 days on 4 days off is pretty great. Unlimited opportunities for overtime means I'm making 130k a year.

The bad is that yes, it does kinda fuck you up. I've only been in a few years but you start to dehumanize people so you don't care when they die, can be hard to empathize with people in your personal life.

All in all I think it's a great job, most of the time it's just easy shit like driving old people around and chatting, the fucked up stuff is relatively rare.

Pay back your mother and indiegogo sponsors you fucking degenerate. Get a real job!

22 years old. Began web development 2 years ago. Now I make 60 USD an hour working from home.

>What does Veeky Forums do for a living?
Student
>How do you afford food, gym and supps?
My Mommy.

I'm 22 and graduate next year though so I finally get to pay them back for all they've done.

Currently in navy A school

Train Controller. Pays for everything and I save up hard.

>Clinical Research Facilitator
>gym is in hospital
>decent entry level pay

interview in boston as a medical examiner assistant next week tho

I'm a diver in the Navy, so gym is free.

Because I don't party, socialize more than once a week (work schedule), smoke, or drink unless its a night out

Grad student.
I'm paid to be a student, now. I can afford an apartment, food, car insurance, food and food.
I have an interview tomorrow for a job that I might get when I stop being a grad student. Then I'll be able to afford all of the things that I can currently afford, AND have money left in the bank.

I was looking into Industrial engineering, can you inform me at all

being a grad student is pretty sweet. if you can deal with the fact that you won't achieve nearly as much as you'd like then honestly I can't think of a better job.

Bud that's illegal, tell someone

I just work 45 hrs a week as a night groceryman and just listen to youtube vids of dave palumbo/rich piana/etc all night.

My brother has done it in San Francisco, Sacramento, and LA. He hates it, the pay is shit, the hours aren't healthy, and the people you answer to are shit. He basically just does what he's told and some girl died under his care in front of the mom because he had to 'follow orders' basically.

>getting salary-cucked
Why do people do this? Getting salaried on low-end jobs is almost always going to be pitted against you. The worst part is you put up with it. Demand fair pay from your boss and if he refuses, walk dude.

I am a neuroscientist

I'm making more than twice as much as I've ever made in my life, and I'm finally a "manager" getting "management experience"

I gotta do this. I'm working on my business degree at the same time. I'm gonna make it, we're all gonna make it.

I could, but I won't.

Always be searching for a new job. Employee loyalty has died. Use the experience you're getting as leverage into a new position and don't be that much of a doormat just to list something on your resume. 70 hours a week just to be a fucking (assistant) manager is pathetic dude.

What is good money in approximate numbers?

I'm a software engineer in NYC. I work remotely though so I only make $15 per hour or about $30,000 per year. I don't have enough to afford a gym membership with rent being so high, but it's nice to run down the East River in the mornings and I do bodyweight training in my room.

I'm looking for a new job right now and if I get a local position I can probably expect a 300% raise in income.

Systems engineer

You need to play more classic video games in order to get a sense for what makes games actually fun. Too many game developers don't do their "research," even though that only entails sitting on a couch and playing the greatest form of entertainment in the known universe.

I'm actually 100% honest

I'll be working on my resume and looking for something more legitimate for sure. But I gotta do what I gotta do. This is something that I need in my life at this moment. Just having all this responsibility is a good thing for me. I used to just get high all day and live like a lazy fucking hedonist. Now I'm paying my dues.

I was working 2 jobs, and I tried to get moved up at my other one, Subway. It would have been way less pay but being in a legitimate corporate environment would have more room for mobility I think. But that didn't happen so I went with this job.

The boss is an overbearing, micromanaging, literal jew. But I gotta go through it.

>Coding
>Stock market

Still enrolled in CS. So a ton of free time rn and trying to get back in shape

It's pathetic either way

I sell methane and methane accessories

My husband pays for it because Im a NEET. Hes a civil eng, tho. Makes good money and we live comfortably.

Why are you a NEET?

I'm a systems engineer that works on satellite antennas.

Pays pretty decently. I have to travel around a lot though so that makes training consistently a little tough. Especially when a lot of these radar sites are small islands in the middle of the ocean with very little in the way of gyms.

Cooperate juice pimp.
Dont make enough to get by at all. Just got paid friday and have $2 in my bank with $40 in my saving and $10 in cash. School just started as well so im pretty fucked

Not even mad. I struggled a lot growing up because my requests for disability were always getting denied. I've got peace of mind to complete school and manage my health issues so I'm in a better position to work in a way that's more accommodating with my needs

>tfw studying to become an English teacher

I hope I'm not making a mistake

>femanon
Maybe you can give me some advice.

Me and my gf are in the same major. I want her to finish and get a job and work a number of years to jumpstart our financial life and so that she has real world experience, but deep down I want my future kids to grow up with a Mother and not in a daycare, and I know deep down she wants to be a housewife too.

Is it wrong of me to ask her to work like ~5 years just to quit?

American medic here.

This is about accurate. Australia bro makes it sound kinda great. In my County, we work 24 hour shifts, make under $20/hour, and basically get shat on by disrespectful assholes all day.

But it's true that the messed up stuff is rare. I've done some messed up shit in an attempt to save someone, and I've seen some even more messed up stuff too. But it's few and far between and you'll spend most of your day being a taxi to old people and dealing with poor people's mundane problems that could wait until they go to a family doctor's office.

Banking Oversight
$75k
Pretty gud

You are.

b-but muh weeb dreams!

I'll be working for public/government schools if it doesn't pan out in nip land

We are in the same boat, user.

>English rules.
>Math drools.

I actually like math but I decided to change pace because of the fuck ups I did in the past.

I had to get out of it before I sank too deep.

Geologist for an environmental consulting company. I handle site assessment: groundwater flow, lithologies, soil and groundwater sampling. Relaxed job, decent pay, another year and I can try to get my P.G. and get a bump in salary. Would like to move into government work and model groundwater in areas that arent old gas stations eventually.
