Vertical leap increasing program?

What program could i do to properly dunk a basketball? Theres so many meme programs but all of them cost 500 dollars or are just bullshit bro science. SO what does Veeky Forums think would be good alround workouts to increase your vertical.

Jumping more, increase squat strength, oly lifts???????

sorry to be a total fag but explain this DYEL wizardy.

Jump more

Not much. Vertical leap is mostly genetic.

shameless self bumpp

Just like how fat you are

You jump with leg extension rite? So if your squat is stronger you can extend your legs with more force = higher jump

Olympic lifts but primarily the clean is mad dank for explosive triple extension and will have sik carryover to jumping

Or just jump more lmao

your vertical is mostly determined by genetics, you might be able to add an inch or two but don't expect to have a stellar vertical by training. That's the reason why the vertical is used to determine athletic potential.

could i get some pointers in where to start a lifting regiment like that?

this post covers most of it. get your squat up first. get your power clean up. do plyos.

also, don't be fat. beyond that there's not much you can do other than killing yourself and hoping you'll be reborn with better genetics.

No, not really.

Olympic weightlifting and a strong core. Being lighter also helps. Properly dunking a basketball is hard, being able to properly hold it with one hand is a huge advantage

Except yes, if you have a shit vertical jump it's because you're weak

Vertical jump responds very poorly to training, so much so that it's used as a rough benchmark for someone's athletic potential independent of their current training level.

/thread

squat more, jump more. MORE. literally practice jumping and make it feel natural for the technique.
this is an interesting claim but i fear you're talking out of your ass

Only by people that don't know what they're doing, anyone can gain 30cm in a few months. Stop maling excuses like a landwhale blaming their undiagnosed thyroid condition

Only way to increase vertical is by losing weight, getting stronger, and practicing the test and even those won't drastically increase your vertical. The vertical is dependent on how quickly you can display strength, and getting stronger will only help that so much.

Playboy sure took a nosedive removing nudes and posting fucking selfies and shit.
Yeah man, you figured out nobody wants to buy porn/nude magazines anymore, but why would anyone buy a fucking printed snapchat story or selfie

Squat 1.5 times your bodyweight.
Then do plyometrics.
There, its fucking done.
A 170cm manlet in my team is dunking, you can do it too lad.

the average nba vertical is barely above 2ft
if it were possible to significantly increase it
all nba players would be dunking like mj

Google Vertical Jump Bible.

You should be squatting and deadlifitng. You are lightweight so you don't need to worry about getting lean yet.

Build some strength and just keep playing sport.

When your strength, some say 1.5 bw squat, you can add plyos.

I can vouch for plyos increasing vertical quite a bit.

this is the content i want

Anybody who says VJ doesn't respond to training is retarded, do not listen to them.

1. Even if it is in some way genetically determined, an increase in strength means an increase in VJ.

2. Even if it is genetically determined to the point that you cannot change it, leaning out will icnrease VJ.

3. Even if you are genetically locked in, you can improve you jump form.

Also, if you think it doesn't respond to training, talk to some volleyball players.
