Can I ask about Lunges? Since Lunges work both of the legs, do I use divide my amount of reps per set by 2 and then do the result on both of my legs or do I do the full number of reps for both legs?

How do I move forward less on my power cleans? I end each rep about an inch or two forward from where I first pulled. I'm racking the weight fine, but I feel like I'm losing power by not staying in the same vertical plane.

Push your knees forward and outwards, catch the bounce and press back up. Don't let your knees travel backwards too fast though as you stand out of the hole. You want to keep the tension on your quads

knees forward has been a game changer for me. i used to think that my body will naturally find its strongest position (hips shot up early, folded forward at the sticking point), but then i took some alan thrall advice and started keeping my knees as forward as they can go and my squats felt and looked to much better after that

Lifting won't do shit, just watch what you eat so you lose weight/fat.

okay lets say you're squatting 300lbs beltless and you never used a belt before. reasonable projections say you're supposed to hit 340lbs maybe a month from now. if you train with a belt on submaximal loads for a couple sessions, you can hit 340lbs under two weeks vs a month

I suppose that's a reasonable assumption. It seems like something that varies by people though. I've squatted 10lbs from my max while beltless before, but it looked worse than my max.

i find that my beltless squat has very little room for error/form breakdown. so if i'm failing a rep, that's it. but if i have a belt, and i'm about to fail a rep, i can grind it out and be more likely to finish, however there will be a lot more form breakdown.
