I gained about 5lbs a year since I was 15, decided I'd gone too far when I was 28 and 220lbs, lost and regained 10lbs repeatedly until this year (I'm now 35) when I realised that I'm stalling because my TDEE was lower than calculators said (they say 2200, but I maintain at about 1800). I started cutting at 1200 a day and losing 1lb a month, and I just passed 200lbs for the first time in probably 10 years.

So I dunno, either my TDEE was always fucked and thats why I was fat to start with, or I fucked it up by not cutting properly for so long.

tldr; being fat for 7 years doesn't make it impossible to lose the weight but it may make it harder.

Since I was in single digits I've been fat. I was 11 years old, 5'10" and I had to be 275lbs. Throughout highschool I got all the way up to 6'1" and 380lbs. After high school I was somewhere between 390-400lbs. I'm down to 275 and making good progress. If people put in the effort they'll lose the weight.
