The human body is actually quite amazing. You really dont need a rest day unless you are a professional body builder or Olympic athlete. The likelihood of you "over training" is pretty low considering you are a white, 20-26 y/o average height male.

This just isn't true. Once you get beyond the beginner level, it become impossible to make progress from workout to workout, and you absolutely need a rest in order to recover from the damage done to your muscles.

Do a certain routine on first day, write down all of your weights you used. on the next day do the same routine again ... if you exercised properly the day before, you wont be able to lift as much, because your muscles are recovering.

Not avodcating working out every day, but doing the same routine with the same weight back to back is just poor programming
