Pullup Strength

Sup /fit, I've plateau'd at my pulllup strength and was wondering if you coulld give me any pointers in how to increase reps.
I'm 6'6 195 lbs with pretty long arms.
My routine is
Wide Gripx6
Conventional pullupsx6
chin-upsx8
I repeat this routine twice but lately I have gone down in reps and can't seem to spike back up (used to do 8 of each).
Any pointers on how to increase?

So you're doing 20 reps twice a week? Do 100 reps twice a week. Stop doing wide grip. It's a fucking meme.

Do you want to know the program I used to get to 20 pull-ups?

add weight, more sets, less reps, slow down

please share

Fuck. I did pullups on those bars

I have one of those pull up bars on my bedroom door frame and everytime i walk by it i do 4 or 5.
Also, do i have to lock out entirely for it to be a acceptable pull up? or its just meme?

Not op, I'd like to know though.

Try either grease the groove or 50pullups.com

GTG if you have all the time in the world to do pull ups all day erry day
50pullups.com if you want a more traditional training schedule

>does half repping count?
Meh.. If you want it to

Yes, extend all the way, it makes a difference

Start doing weighted pullups

Using an artificially slow tempo means you lift less total, less total volume = less adaptation.

Not to mention the fact lifting explosively is proven to increase strength and hypertrophy even when volume is controlled for.

TUT is a meme

The only things that matter are training volume (setsxrepsxload) and quality of reps

Do pullups with one arm; a weight in the other

>wide grip is a meme
ok mr.nolats

don't go to failure on your sets

video of you doing pullups? pic of how you look? time under tension is a meme... oh man

Not him but you should expload up and decend slow.
best mix imo

its this the best u can do kid?

Time under tension is a retarded way of measuring volume, it works because any increase in volume causes a training response. Volume is always king.

Closer grip is better for your lats.

do once a week weighted 3x3
the other day hit volume 5x5
and for the 3rd day do some lighter high rep hyperthrophy work

for example on monday I do weighted chinups 3x3 with 40kg added, been increasing 2.5kg every week

on wednesday I do rope climbs, could be substituted for high rep pullups

on friday I do 5x5 weighted pullups with 25kg

I weigh 90kg

so what is wide grip good for?

Looking good, bro..
Practically medium grip is better with full range.
