Don't misunderstand folks, squats are probably the best bodybuilding exercise, but squatting HEAVY and for HYPERTROPHY (10+ reps, many sets) is gonna give you some big bulky ass legs, which are gonna be aesthetic only on a certain type of body (some sort of lean bear mode). On most people it's not gonna look good, so if you are going for aesthetics don't do it, unless you can pull the lean bear mode off.

This is 100% true. I find it more effective to do squats with 50lbs 200X three days a week. Gets me lean and tight where as squatting 470lbs was just making my waist blow out!!!FACT!!!
