Who else is sparring today? I'm fucking stoked

TAPOUT GET OUT
REEEEE

what about krav maga?

Ask /pol/

How much does a pro kickboxing fight pay out?

Payout $100,000 to $500,000 for bigger fraws like heavyweights

Is Lima Lama legit or is it a meme.

what grappling apparel do you wear Veeky Forums?

Haven't sparred in literal months.

Being too broke to train is suffering.

Charlie Zelenoff is my idol. He would snap any of your jaws.

>tfw first judo class yesterday
>get lent a gi
>do a bit of breakfalls before the start of class while told how some places have you do them for weeks first
>do the class same as everyone but with someone showing me stuff relevant to what everyone else is doing
>"learn" as best i can two throws and two or three submissions
Was fun when I wasnt lightheaded

There is a board for this already

Not anymore

If you're not a proper famous, household name in KB/MT expect to be fighting as a pro for 1k - 10k. In Aus anyway

The gap in purse between your average pro and the elites is staggering man, there's a reason most have to work day jobs to make ends meet

...

I wear a judogi. No need for anything else.

Sometimes I might wear some boxer-briefs.

Hi there!

You seem to have made a bit of a mistake in your post. Luckily, the users of Veeky Forums are always willing to help you clear this problem right up! You appear to have used a tripcode when posting, but your identity has nothing at all to do with the conversation! Whoops! You should always remember to stop using your tripcode when the thread it was used for is gone, unless another one is started! Posting with a tripcode when it isn't necessary is poor form. You should always try to post anonymously, unless your identity is absolutely vital to the post that you're making!

Now, there's no need to thank me - I'm just doing my bit to help you get used to the anonymous image-board culture!

>tfw first Mma fight next saturday

what did i get myself into lads

I only trained Bjj for 3 months. Atleast my stand up i ok.

Just hoping not to get killed at this point

Not very good.

forgot pic

For the love of God practice all the fucking sparring you can get your hands on before you step into the cage.

Your BJJ will do you great good but you MUST know how to apply it to someone who can punch you too, so practice doing that. Get some friends or some shit and just spar-spar-spar.

Watching some Gracie Breakdowns might do you some good too.

What's y'alls opinion on Tae-Kwon-Do?

Did it as a kid, dropped out when I got my 1st dan black belt, then the instructor left after the 2ndary instructor went nutty on him.

He's up north now working with kids in the innercity, he's an awesome guy.

Just wondering if it's a good idea to get back in it.

Tell your gym.

They are your only hope now.

Just hope your opponent doesnt know that or you are fucked cunt

The quality of the instructor matters more than the reputation of the art.

Good luck brother. Remember, when in doubt knock him out

Your coach should have told you if you're not ready to step up yet

Sounds like a mcdojo, unless you trained for like 2 decades solid.

In that case you would probably benefit from training another style anyways.
"Jack of all trades, master of none; but surely is better than a master of one" kinda deal.

thanks been working for 1.5-3 hours on it 5 days a week for the last 3 months, hoping to get a submission in. My opponent is apparently a strong muay thai fighter. I have 2 years of training boxing/muay thai and feel like i can hold the pace with most guys stand up wise. Still gonna try and take him down though.

relax, im always way too nervous bevore doing something hard, and in the end it turns out better than i thought

thanks bro, i will keep /fit updated about my fight and how it went.
Fight is next saturday in Denmark, am from Germany. Making weight right now, still standing between 74 and 75 kg and will compete at 70 kg. My coach said its not a problem and i can loose the water weight till saturday to hit 70 kg.

Dang son, that a bit of a cut for your first fight. Have fun with that lmao

Last piece of unsolicited advice - remember to breathe. It fucks everybody up the first few fights

Dipped out when I was 10 or so.

Had I stuck around, I think it would've been a lot better.

But yeah, there's a nearby dojo teaching MMA, BJJ, Vale Tudo, and supposedly Okinawan Kobudo.

They've got diff locations, so I'm thinking about looking into it.

that saying doesn't apply to martial arts. You train long enough you improvise regardless. MMA folks cease to amaze me, its like the cross fit of martial arts
