As much as I love dogs, this is true. They can live in cities but it's pretty lame to do that to them. They deserve open country to run through. I feel super bad for high energy breeds like huskies that get left in their city apartment for 10 hours every day when their owner goes to work.

Cats are fun to hang out with sometimes but I don't think it's worth having to clean your apartment all the time. There's always litterbox shit everywhere.

I have a large backyard, so I just let him run it all out with my other dog when he needs to. Also likes to swim, he's a great swimmer. Definitely not a breed for those who can't give them the space to expend their energy though.
