New program lads youtu.be
/plg/ Powerlifting General
the chances of a 6'10 black dude having long limbs relative to his torso is super high
Yes, it's possible he could be a freak with the legs of a 5'10 man and a torso a foot longer than the average person. I'm 6'4 and my squat leverages aren't that bad (32 inch inseam)
But it's completely reasonable to think he has terrible squat leverages with what he described
do you even lift anymore? serious question
Couldn't a 6'10" guy theoretically be a really good powerlifter? Even though he may have shit leverages he would still be able to pack on insane amounts of muscle, and could be a relatively lean SHW
R.I.P
CHEMOLIFTAN
- respect
Yes, he could be, but that's assuming his other qualities overpower the fact that he has worse leverages.
High hip flexion in the squat, deadlift is deficit to him, large range of motion for the bench press, because grip width limit is independent of weight class.
>deadlift is deficit to him
implying deadlifts are not a deficit to me at 5 '6 with these little fucking t rex arms
hello i heard there was an expert on a clock work orange here? panzer-something i was wondering if he could explain a clock work orange to me thank?

jesus christ she's disgusting and the text just makes it worse
Neighbours are having a party. He's """""""""""a faggot""""""""""" so its a mainly female party
I know all those girls and I hate them all
And I can hear someone banging through the walls
Fucking faggots, I'm trying to sleep for deadlifts tomorrow
how fucking short are your arms if deadlifts are deficit to you at 5'6"?
I feel like a fucking idiot for having to ask this but how do you pay for a meet when there's no option to pay online? Are you just supposed to put cash with your entry form when you mail it or what?
square fridge trunk just looks so ugly on women.
i lock out a balls and start a deadlift with back pretty much horizontal
ive seen people do deficits with a more upright back angle than my normal dead Tbh
i dont know lad
uk (aka proper country) has it online Tbh
well, atleast you'll have nice hamstrings then.
Deadlift song
m.youtube.com
Just crack this up and hit a 40kg all time PR
i dont know how to use them
slightly exaggerated but still pretty fucking shit Tbh
and pls take your wrist wraps out of your shorts there is no need for that now, catch yourself on lad
hips way lower mang
stretch ur hamstrings too
Miring arms and chest tbqh, how big are your arms?
Your set up is a little bad, lots of rounding, not a lot of hinging.
Try opening your stance. I had the same issue until I opened up my stance to the edge of the smooth part of the bar.
Also hold it at the top please
try starting with your hips a little higher, and keep your back straight.
How about you be a man, have a shot of vodka and take your ass over there with a crate of beer
This.
You also need to bring your shoulders down.
Practice trying to touch your toes without bending your back. Sit back.
>This.
Stop giving advice if you don't know what the fuck you're talking about.
WHY ARE YOU GIVING ADVICE
ARE YOU FOR REAL?
WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU KNOW ABOUT ANYTHING? WTF PLG
No offense but he just needs to widen his stance.
My deadlift was the same as his until I just widened my stance.
No need for stretching or starting with his higher or lower.
6'4" and 38 inseam
please send help squatting is misery
No, he doesn't "need to widen his stance".
Maybe that'll help him, maybe not.
Just because it worked for you, doesn't mean his body is the same.
(fyi, I prefer a wider stance too, but that doesn't mean everyone has to)
I told him to *try* starting with his hips higher, which *can* help.
He should keep his back straight though.
No man, I'm serious, its just a fault of too narrow a stance.
Its not a preference its the cause of his fault.
I'm not saying sumo, I'm saying max out his conventional stance btw
>No need for stretching
He clearly lacks flexibility to keep a neutral spine. Changing his stance could easily help but if he's not hinging correctly it won't fix the problem in the long term.
Hello /plg/
How much do you front squat?
How much do you bench?
>hips way lower mang
if i put them lower they just shoot up Tbh
>stretch ur hamstrings too
likely an issue since i do next to no stretching but not sure how much that would actually help me dl anyway, i should do it tho i know
>how big are your arms?
i dont know, maybe 14 inches?? lol
>not a lot of hinging
yeah i just cant get it, this was me trying to fix it, dont think it was all that successful Tbh
i havent tried widening out much yet, ill have to put a bit of time in that direction i guess
i thought they were pretty high as it was
>You also need to bring your shoulders down.
do you mean getting lats tight? maybe bad in that webm but i am attempting to do this
No. You don't need to be so hyper mobile to lift.
You JUST NEED TO LIFT
I have bigger arms but yours looks bigger?
Perhaps I should wear a chain.
I'm in the exact same position as you lad and take my word its just narrow stance width. Nothing to do with mobility.
nobody can deadlift that narrow without back rounding.
People have different hip structures.
It is most definitely dependent on the person, which makes it a preference, not an absolute fault.
He doesn't "clearly lack flexibility".
Infact, this video shows that his hamstrings are more than flexible enough for him to keep a straight back.
His hamstrings are less stretched in his starting position than when the bar crosses his knees.
It's more likely he rounds his back because he just isn't strong enough to break the weight off the ground without rounding.
Please stop giving advice about things you don't know shit about.
People with relatively longer femurs and shorter torso will have to use a higher hip position.
Really, lower the weight a bit, and try starting with your hips a bit higher.
Don't let them shoot up though, extend your knees and hips at roughly the same rate.
Your back angle should remain relatively constant from the floor until you pass your knees.
I don't mean he should fold like a pretzel but even practising sitting back with straight legs and back (hip hinging) will help identify where his stance should be and how it feels for his hamstrings to engage. So yeah, he can do that while he sets up for lifts by all means. I just like to work on it outside of the gym.
DUDE. LOOK AT HIS STANCE
A DEADLIFT IS A JUMPING STANCE
HE HAS HIS FEET INCHES APART
ARE YOU BRAIN DEAD?
HIS FEET ARE CLOSE TOGETHER
ARE
YOU
BLIND
JUST LOOK
NOBODY CAN DEADLIFT WITHOUT ROUNDING WITH SUCH A CLOSE STANCE
...
oh, also, here's an example of someone strong with relatively long femurs and a short torso:
youtu.be
pay close attention to his positioning when he actually breaks the weight off the floor.
fuck off
You are fucking brain dead. You don't know how to deadlift.
Kill yourself.
Around 3300-3400 calories/day on average.
I've explained the situation clearly.
If all you can do is scream with capslock on and insult others, that's on you.
You're a dumb retard who doesn't know how to lift
Post your deadlift so I can laugh
The only reason why I said it is because I thought it was the same issue that I had which I fixed. I had to get my hips higher and to adjust to that I figured out the right stance through practicing my hinging.
Is all.
If you had posted that in the first place, that would've been fine.
Instead of misinforming, you could say "It seems to me like you lack flexibility to keep a straight back. I also think that learning how to do a proper hip hinge will help you out most."
And you can even mention what issue you personally encountered, and how you resolved it.
>3400kcals/day
>eating a lot
pick one twink
I'm eating 3500-4000 a day and making slower bench gains than you :(
I'm still making gains though. I'm that guy who started his similar bench program at an RPE that was too high
Okey, I'll think through things more before I post in future. I know what I want to say.
If he practices his hinging it'll carry over to his squat as well.
I hate long femur short torso life. Thankfully have the arms of a gibbon to compensate.
>Which is terrible for bench
>I have bigger arms but yours looks bigger?
i havent actually measured them but they havent really grown in a long while
one of the few short armed manlet bonuses, theres not many of them
>Perhaps I should wear a chain.
would recommend, helps everytime
>People with relatively longer femurs and shorter torso will have to use a higher hip position.
once again not measured but i always thought i had short femurs Tbh
> lower the weight a bit
easier said than done when youve got meets planned Tbh, i lowered it to 82% singles in that 2nd one when i was trying to fix it
ill try to mess about with some of the ideas soon and maybe post if things change
also no need to fight lads ffs
...
>(+)
lel who is that sperg?
least he has a gf though
Okay Dino
Eat it cunt
Thanks for this nice response.
Maybe you don't have long femurs, and I misjudged it from the video.
A view in real life is often much better.
Anyway, my point was that some people do need to start with their hips higher, and that you should play around with your hip height until you find a good starting position.
One thing I forgot to mention is that you could also play with your shoulder positioning.
Often people put their shoulders too far back (and subconsequently their hips too far down), because they misinterpret the "body behind the bar" cue.
I don't know how long it would take for you to improve your technique and work your way back up.
In my gym, I helped a guy get his deadlift from 140kg to 210kg in a week or so, but sometimes it takes way longer to improve technique and get stronger with it.
...
Thats what he said
You don't really need to lower the weight in my opinion, but it depends on what changing your form does to your strength. Just gradually work your way up to your working weight on the day.
Practice sitting back and folding forwards until you feel your hamstrings then bend your knees and reach down from there. If you can't reach the bar from there without rounding then you need to widen your stance. A good way to avoid lower back rounding when doing this is to engage hip torque as you would for a squat.
So yeah, that's what I should have said.
You consume the rare candy and contract aids
Okay Dino
Okay Aids boy
Okay Dino
how did he get a girlfriend seriously?
Hand lad is CUTE
I pay Asian moot like 26$ and this is what he gives me in return wtf
Also, you might find that your glutes get more fatigued than usual when you do this.
Ass pain will become part of your life.
His name is Hiroshima Nagasaki
>If he practices his hinging it'll carry over to his squat as well.
my squat is my only decent lift Tbh
>Maybe you don't have long femurs
you might be right i just cant be bothered measuring
>One thing I forgot to mention is that you could also play with your shoulder positioning.
you mean like shoulders in front pockets cue?
i also attempt to do this although i did get 2 reds for 'shoulders' on 3rd so maybe i should stop
>I helped a guy get his deadlift from 140kg to 210kg in a week
fucking wew lol
what before the deload?
will be taken into consideration
what?? who is this hand lad?
...
Oh I need to tell you something
I don't got a belly button
I need to tell you something
Can you figure it out?
I dont got a belly button
No, I meant whether the shoulders are over the bar or infront of it.
I don't like the "shoulders in front pockets" cue, because it encourages shoulder depression and a kyphotic back.
>Hes not handlad
Rip handlad ;-;
Fucking hell Sean that was actually kinda good kek
It was dino this time
youtube.com
goal of 180 triple tomorrow
hoping for 185 triple before the week is up

She's fucking cute as well
this actually isn't fair
Just realised my form is really really good
I actually might have the second best form in plg

Don't knee cave though you'll become an Isley
Do you bench also?

>I meant
ahh right
>because it encourages shoulder depression and a kyphotic back.
yeah that was my attempt to reduce rom any mm i can get from my balls as possible Tbh
>Rip handlad ;-;
he had so much zest for life ;_;
oh yeah that guy, he must have been a bit of a retard to do that right lol
how did you come to this conclusion?
what do you mean by become an isley
and i'm working on my knee cave with not very good results :)
You're being too cute for me to handle rn :3
I want to watch Aaron man handle his illegal gf while I stroke my penis with his gun holster and an Asian shop keeper watches a closet.
>become an Isley
Isley has real bad knee valgus
Dirty pedo.
*SLAM*
lol
really tho how Tbh?

Post your face when you figured out how to use straps properly
How much do you weigh? How much do you bench?
what do you weigh?
