I personally always pause reps.
But, touch and go is good for overloading, and a lot of people do it in the offseason.

I've also seen people pause the first rep, then touch and go the rest.
This gives you the ability to somewhat keep your ability to pause reps, while still overloading.

Opened squats at 175, got ez
182.5 was ez
Got stuck with 192.5 and grinded for a few seconds before my GDE kicked in and I failed

Opened bench at 100 because shoulder felt like glass, it was RPE 0
Went to 110 and got it ez, I really should have gone heavier as on the platform with a good hand off I had zero pain and felt like 120 was there

Dropped my dl opener to 202.5, ez
212.5, felt hard
220, got it easy and held it like ten seconds at the top

Hindsight tells me I should've taken my squat down to 190, cut depth a bit and bumped my other two lifts another 10-15kg

I still had a lot of fun though, hanging out with my buddy that killed the 66s was nice and so was meeting some cool lifters

Maybe next time I won't leave my best lifts in da gym ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
