I'm 185. When I last tested my maxes I was around 181 and had a 1020 total.

I do have a 6'3 wingspan, so it just makes me look tall. Sorry for the potato quality but I hung a tape measure off the door frame and you can see the 1 ft marker just barely above my head (most door frames are right at 7 ft).

I wouldn't say deload to broomstick, just some extra thought outside of the gym leading up to the meet. Then yeah deload when you're done and really work it out with more volume etc.

Hey guys, just came off a 3 month rest period from my ortho from a pec tear. Over the last few weeks ive been getting back into the groove adding 5 lbs to the bar twice a week @ 5x5, and am at 100 kg 5x5 now which is about 70% of where I used to be.

Now I am starting to get noticeable soreness and pain on top of my shoulder where my clavicle is after bench sessions (not OHP). Anyone have any suggetions about this or getting back in the saddle? Dont want to go back to my ortho, he'll just tell me to stop (im 35 and he told me i am not ever going to be the same and that I should just take it easy and not try to be a tough guy :( ).

I haven't maxed since mid September, when I did then I was at 180-181 lbs bw and hit 355/225/440 for a 312 wilks. Pretty sure I could have done more benching if I had run a peak, but whatever. Now I'm up to 185 lbs and haven't maxed in forever, so idk? Give me a few weeks and I'll retest some maxes. I'm hoping to total 1100 (500kg) at 190ish (86-87kg) at the meet I just signed up for at the end of January.
