Is it possible to be a casual hardcore gamer?

Is it possible to be a casual hardcore gamer?

I'm talking like, obsessive and hardcore gaming but with "casual games" -

>1000+ hours Skyrim
>1000+ hours Oblivion
>700 hours XCX
>500 hours Smash melee and wii u combined
>hundreds of hours in each Dynasty Gundam game
>hundreds of hours in Maplestory
>1000+ hours in Pokemon games combined, but mostly Leaf Green and Soul Silver

Anyone here like this?

dude wtf this is Veeky Forums

Wrong board, but also yes. Most casual games are designed to be time-wasters for normies. It's not uncommon to spend a lot of time playing "casual" games.

ummmm why is the girl the casual gamer? wtf game industry??

fuck oops,

also spent 1000+ hours in gym

>Hardcore gamer
>You know what the Red Ring of Death is... and you're terrified of it

Wrong board but I manage to play tons of vidya and still be Veeky Forums.

Wrong board, but

>hardcore gamer
>scared by rrod
filthy peasants

>LAN party
although i personally miss it, literally nobody does that shit. Its more of a hassle than what you get out of it.

LANs were the shit around age 17 when you could easily drive to a buddy's house and everyone sets up and plays games in the basement for hours

last lan party I had was a couple years ago, damn now all my friends have gone off to different uni's around the country :(

That's what summers are for friend

>hardcore gamer
>have friends to have a lan party with
>having a lan party in 2016 when you could just use the internet

first off
second
you are what is called a "hardcore gamer"
>skyrim and oblivion
lmao
>pokemon
>smash bros
"Im such a hardcore gamer bro", maybe if you were 12

>+ hours Skyrim
+ hours Oblivion
hours XCX
hours Smash melee and wii u combined
>>hundreds of hours in each Dynasty Gundam game
>>hundreds of hours in Maplestory
+ hours in Pokemon games combined, but mostly Leaf Green and Soul Silver

So you're just an easily satisfied normie, basically. Raise your standards please, apply yourself.

>skyrim
>oblivion
>smash
>pokemon

Literally a dudebro, I guess that makes sense for Veeky Forums.

These are the games I naturally enjoyed though, I can't do anything to make myself like better games

>You know what the Red Ring of Death is... and you're terrified of it
Is it prison rape?

Maplestory stats?

250 phantom, frequent soloer but I've kind of fallen off the past year

I would say I'm a casual hardcore gamer. While I play less than 10 hours a week, I compete on the top level in a Quake 3 mod.

Although I did put around 4000 hours in back in the day.

women are casuals

Yep. Skyrim and Oblivion, plus a few weak ass MMO's have quite a few hours in them. Handheld consoles are a fuckload of fun for me too.

I do play Dark Souls, though, and I'm actually not a casul skum in that.

I'm kinda like this at the gym too, to be honest. I'm a pretty casual lifter on a very basic program, but I've sunk quite a few hours into it.

Also
>Afraid of the red ring of death
>Not knowing how to protect against it
>Hardcore
Kek. I've never had the red ring of death. It's not super hard to avoid if you aren't a moron.

My life is lifting, video games, anime and work

>obsessive and hardcore gaming but with "casual games"
That's called being autistic. Or asian.

single-player RPG like the Elder Scrolls series aren't normal enough to be casual games, let alone a JRPG like XCX (unless it's Final Fantasy, but that's pushing it)

toight loike a toiger

haha red ring of death im such a nerd lol

>Casual Gamer
>Your keyboard is pristine, no faded keys or potato crumbs in sight

That's not being a casual gamer, that's just called not being a dirty fucking animal

>faded wasd

Precious keybinds wasted when you can just hold L/R mouse.
