Ss and yoga. I do judo and bjj.

depression and anxiety x f

guy at boxing gym said basically theres no point in anyone over age of 18 doing amateur boxing

now im looking at MMA or Judo or something instead

lmao he is wrong famalam

yoga, and boy, it can get tough at times. also, swimming

purple belt in bjj

>guy at boxing gym said...

man, you're pathetic

>no point in amatuer boxing over age 18
this might be true if you have literaly zero experience in the ring

However I think its acceptable to be an amatuer until about age 28, at that age you should probably go pro or quit

>theres no point in anyone over age of 18 doing amateur boxing
wat

>listening to old guy at boxing gym
never gonna make it

>old guy

no, ex champion who at 31 can't find any amateur bouts to take part in

swimming once a week when I'll finally stop being a pussy and start doing cardio properly.

also doing planks and pullups in the mornings if I have the time.

i street fight a lot, no set routine but looking for one. Background in "kempo"

what kind of fighting?

this is...... not adequate

>streetfight
when you grow up, you realise that a few 'streetfights' will put you in prison

t. now a free man

t. delusional, ageing late 20s faggots who think they can still go pro if they already haven't done so by age 20

Olympic weightlifting, and then I just fucking train, man. Unless you're preparing for a bout, conditioning is dumb. In fact, I don't do any conditioning at all unless I'm preparing for a boxing, kickboxing or MMA match (Which I haven't done in forever). Last I competed was BJJ and all I did for that was train like ten times a week and maybe lift weights two months prior to it to strengthen a bad shoulder I had just gotten fixed.

lmfao dont listen to this genuine faggot

Bernard Hopkins had his first pro fight at 23. He lost and took time off then came back at 25 to become a successful fighter and dominate the Middleweight division and win multiple titles.

Nate Campbell started at just before he turned 28. At 36 he won three world titles at Lightweight.

Rocky Marciano started around 24-25 also and he went on to become the only undefeated Heavyweight Champion.

>be me
>be amatuer boxer
>have a bout every month

kickboxing, I thought you guys meant other than the sessions.

running pushups planks pullups
doing judo+boxing

Why don't you just quit life while you're at it motherfucker.

>once a week
>if I have the time

>claims to want to make progress

yeah, I admit its half-assing it but I do it for fun not to make progress in a sport I won't compete in.

If you do all this to compete, more power to you.

you realize there are some boxers that made it pro in their 30s right?

you are taking a cardio class for soccer moms user

I do kung fu, jujitsu, and boxing
still newish to it but I enjoy the sports and I can really get into doing this more, I've not got a steady work out, but my god man id like to give yours a go, change it where it suits my needs and try it out.

for fighting it's best to only lift 2 days a week, but lift heavy and explosively with a full body routine. then the rest of your week would be sparring/conditioning.

OP here. i agree, i just changed from 2 x full body to 2 x splits weekly. Will see if the split gives me different/better results.

go nuts my man. my program is intended to be completed at fucking peak condition - that is, rest where you need to.

e.g. if i know i have a tough sparring partner i can do 8-10+ rounds with who will last, on friday, i probably wont do conditioning training on the thursday, and might just do some bag rounds and jump some rope instead, or just have a big sleep.

good luck

How to you find time to work and train at the same time with a fight every month?

i work at sea and its sporadic

i.e. will go to sea for a week then not go for a fortnight, or sometimes will just do weekends for months at a time.

my work is extremely physical and if i eat plenty of meat I dont lose strength etc. during the working week

also i teach autistic kids to swim and take people scuba diving

so it works out overall, sweet gig

guy started 22 and won 2 amateur titles

>do this
no, i cant because...
>do this
i cant, because....
>no do this
well i cant, because...

you fucking pussy, i know your type
