ppl which i know gets ripped on sometimes.Diet really helps though. I was eating like shit before: healthy-ish foods but nowhere near enough food, especially protein. Now I make sure I have at least 100 grams of protein every day.

That's pretty fast progress. Took me 2 years to go from benching 30kg for reps to 100kg. Then another 2 to get to 150kg.

Took me a long time too. 4 years to hit 140/(315) basically. But i feel like latebloomers have a lot more potential and i am benching much more now.

All the kids who came in benching 70 the first day are still struggling with about 110 7 years later.

Congrats.. I just hit 225x2 the other day. I been at it for about 3 months and never any sort of program prior. (Age 25). I still look like absolute dogshit. I started at 240 and am now 253 I think some of it is lean muscle Hoping the pendulum starts swinging the other way soon. And I start burning this trucker belly off.

I'll trade you a bad feel.

6 weeks ago I caught stomach flu, lasted a whole fucking week, during which I couldn't eat anything and shot water out my ass.

Then, right after it ended, I grabbed the wrong water bottle at work and got isopropyl alcohol poisoning, another 3 days of shitting water.

Despite all that, I'm already back to normal, breaking PRs even.
Just hit a 4pl8 deadlift for 8 reps

Drink more water, eat as much as you can, don't actually do your program, just do accessories and 50-60%RM on your main lifts.
When you get rid of your sickness, you can jump right into normal lifting.

Right when I hit 225 I managed to pull both my lower trap muscles during the lift and put myself out for like 5 days then after that was good I did dips and pulled my upper traps/neck and was out for another 5.

I felt like doing a slow progress but realised that I started with 20 kg DB bench this years march, and now im at 32,5 kg for the same reps (4X8, 2 reps short from upping it to 35 kg)

I feel okay now

op gj, couldn't bench the bar either when I started in august, progress has been slow so i'm currently only benching 45kg but i'm trying to hit that 1pl8 bench by the end of the year, not going to rush it tho, wouldn't wanna get injured.

i know it isn't much but it feels so good just to do it for the first time.
