Ego.

You are a scumbag Tyler and you fucking knw it

I don't even lift, I'm just a shitposter from /r9k/
In fact, I don't even know what is considered and impressive lift, I just give out arbitrarily high numbers and talk shit to everyone because my life is that empty.

I think its funny people ask me how much I bench and they are surprised it's less than I actually look.

Fuck egos

I've seen this so many times. People convince themselves that they were "so close" then actually start believing they could do it on a "good day" and they start lying to sate their ego. What they don't realize is that people don't give a fuck.

if you cant 3x5 or 5x5 the weight, if youre not squatting at an elite or world class level, its only your 3x5 or 5x5

It's even funnier when they talk about it in the gym then blame it on a bad day

I can straight up squat 155lb 5x5

Stay mad dyels

So you can 5x5 a little more than 1pl8
congrats

Thanks man, I started a few months ago and my ankle flexibility is shit

>I started a few months ago
That's different then, unironic congrats in this case.

I started early november and squatted 90kg today. I played sports until 19, broke my arm and stopped till 24.
How long does it usually take for not complete novices to lift 1/2/3/4

1.5-2 years sounds nice, just keep at it my friend, you don't need to take my estimate as fact though, I only started lifting a couple of months ago and i'm far from hitting 1/2/3/4, one day I may.

this is the internet and people are pathetic on the internet

its only good for porn (and waifu posting)

Try that sentence again. I think I see what you're saying, but I'm not sure.

Wait so when you guys post your lifts and tell normies do you include bar weight or just pl8 weight?

Or the people who pull shit like "back in 1852 I could deadlift 12pl8s man but then I took a bullet to the knees and was in 5 major car accidents".

people lie to make themselves feel better, but some lie and eventually believe their own lies just to feed their ego, humans are weird.

>> /v/

trips of truth

include the bar. That's why 315 is 3

include the bar. that's why 315 is 3 pl8s per side + bar

I get this all the time.
"Man, you look like you can do so much more than that!"

I'm trying to stay hydrated and eat right nigga I ain't trying to look lanklet ripped.

Eating right is all it is. People eat like shit then wonder why they can't make natural gains.

Also staying hydrated is underrated. I've noticed my muscles look much rounder if I drink at least a gallon of water per day.

I also have a problem with sometimes working out too hard for too long. Pre-workout can be a bitch sometimes haha.

Exactly right. Everyone has their own goals, I'm just trying to have some strength and be healthy. Drink at least a gallon of water a day/good diet. Just makes you look "fuller", and not so "ripped". But, yeah, always makes people look at you and think you can't lift way more than you actually can.

I thought you were a lot stronger than that for some reason

Just hit 155 5x5 after 2.5 months from 55. Feels good

london?

I started like 9 months ago as a 150lb DYEL and I can now 5x5 240lbs

Eat more

So he has 6 months to add 85lbs. Sounds reasonable

This in a big way. It's even cringier when you see larvae gymbros grabbing the 80lb ez bar and flailing around trying to curl it when they should only be doing half that. Takes people a while to figure out that you gotta go slow, get your form tight, and get your reps in without cheating yourself.

I may or may not have been that guy when I first started lifting in college

Did he start off as a spooky skelly? Or was he of average body composition when he started?

Any average built non lifting man off the street could 5x5 155lbs.

Good on you anons, keep it up. Everyone starts somewhere, and as long as you're making progress, that's what counts.

Faggots like trying to rag on newbies for not lifting enough are the reason we see people like OP's pic hurting themselves.

Haha I think we have all been that guy at some point. Doesn't hurt to try and go for more weight, but when your arm is the size of my wrist and I'm doing 35 lb curls, it means its time for you to pick up the 15s and get the idea.

Regardless, I could give a shit less about what weights other people are using. Once the headphones go on, the pre workout kicks in, and the music starts blasting, I'm in my own world.

yeah it's kinda crazy how much hydration actually changes the way your body looks, my buddy's been working out for like 3 or 4 years now so he's in pretty good shape, but we were mad hungover the other day and he looked way more shredded than normal because he was so dehydrated and hadn't eaten all day haha

Yeah water depletion will do that shit to you. It's crazy what competitors go through the week before a show.

But for a nice full look, getting enough water will do the trick. I've been making sure I have at least 60 oz in me for that day before working out (3 blender bottles worth)

>was forcing myself to do 155 3x5 on bench
>Deloaded to 135, practiced form these past 2 weeks
>I'm actually hitting my chest and can feel it better now

Forcing my self for the past 2 months has set me back. Be patient friends, slow and steady wins the race

Gym 8months, compound lifts 3months

I front squat 125lbs
I overhead press 125lbs
I bench 125lbs

people think I'm joking when I tell them this shit

The weight is fine, everyone starts somewhere, but
>OHP is the same weight as any variant of your squat

Home gym masterrace?

no they couldnt

you'd be stupid to believe a fitness forum about averages, they're skewed as fuck

My belted PR is 260x5, 255x5 beltless, I only used a belt once and stopped right after because it felt uncomfortable and unnatural. I only use it for deadlifts now.

I can straight up squat 175kg 5x5

what's your point?

> trying this hard to be chad

it's not the weight, it's the ratio's that are really weird. OHP being the same as bench is weird, real weird. that either means your chest is super-underdeveloped (which shouldn't be the case if your doing bench properly) or your bench technique is abysmal.
