>I started reading more, this month I read about 5 books.
>watching my weight and doing cardio instead of lifting as I am injured (medial epicondylitis)
>went out today with my uni collegues
>I think a qt 3.14 likes me
Gonna make it senpai
You gonna ask her out user?
>What have you learned recently that benefited you?
I have learned that focusing too much on one aspect of my life, will fuck over the other aspects, and make me feel less good overall.
Never, ever, ever slack even the slightest bit in habitual sports/healthy routines
>What have you done to improve yourself lately?
I made a longterm plan of what I want my life to look like in 3 years. It is good to have motivation in the back of my head all the time.
I signed up for a training which teaches me the basics of lifting in January, and will start lifting in my resting days (I was focusing on cardio).
>Have you managed to cut those last few pounds yet, user?
I'm getting there, fixed my diet and losing a lot of kg's lately.
When you fixed your diet how long before the hunger goes away?...is always so persistent for me
Always make food that is fairly high in fiber, since it will make you feel saturated for a longer period of time.
I made the following changes:
Instead of normal bread I eat rye bread nowedays, also stopped eating bread in the morning and replaced it by yoghurt with oats.
Stopped eating pasta, stopped including oily/cream/sweet stuff in my dinner.
Now for dinner I interchange 7-8 different types of meals, they will always fill me up. The key is eating stuff that is fairly high in fiber, and fairly low in energy.
Stews containing beans (green beans, lentils, brown beans), meat and some high fiber vegetables. I also add mushrooms for bite and taste.
I eat wraps that are filled with tuna, or chicken and a shitload of salad.
When I feel like, I make my own hummus and eat it as snack when Im really hungry.
At the start you will feel a bit hungry, but after some time your body adjust to the new pattern. I start to get hungry around the times I usually eat. So be consistent with when you eat. (Breakfast at 08:30, midday at 12:00, dinner at 18:00).
Whats your current diet like user? Maybe I can help you improve it. Most important is that you find meals you like, since the change you make is not temporary, but lifelong. Otherwise youll end up fat again.
I have to add, in the beginning I tried to eat Bro food with a lot of rice. I fucking hate rice, and it doesn't keep me satisfied. Thats why I let go the first time. This time Im happy and not hungry, so more likely to make it.
I decided to give the whole ketosis diet a second whirl... Fell off the first time because working labour, it was just to easy and satisfying to buy a sausage roll or pie from the food truck
I'm two days in now, eating bacon for breakfast, nothing really more than coffee for lunch (at the moment) and beef mince for dinner...
Thinking about getting sliced salami for lunches.
Jeezus, why are you following such a hard diet?
The harder the diet, the more likely you are to cave in.
I'm not working labour anymore, just doing some security cert and then doing bouncer work...
It's easier to prepare/bring meals in this environment desu
besides I love meat, so i figured it was worth giving a proper go
Bouncer work is bad for your sleep gains senpai.
My sleep pattern is already whack home slice.
It's only for about 8 months, I was recommended for a Defence job, as in i passed all my tests... starting as an ammo supplier and becoming ammo tech (EOD)...
they just want me to lose 10KG first cause they still use Bmi standards
>INB4 zog squad hur dur or whatever
Did you see some results last time?
Yeah, but i kinda put it down to the work i was doing.. I was working in the metal industry, riveting steel frames of varying sizes and carrying them up hill and dumping them and running back... No OHS in that goddamn shed, But oh well... I grew a beard and lost like 5kg the first week... my test must have been through the roof in that place
Been reading some books, playing bass.
Not really busy with studying since the holidays are almost here.
I find life pretty boring at the moment, Really want something new and exciting to do but can't really find anything
Good on ya breh. Surely 10kg can be lost in a shorter time frame though? Why the 8 months
I bought a book for $1.00 about attack aircraft in the 1980's. I'm getting myself a kindle because my old one broke like 3 years ago and I miss reading.
I started working out again because I have had 3 surgery's in the past 1.5 years for my hand. I feel a lot better about myself and I feel good about my finals in university.
It feels good to post this stuff, thanks user.
Security gigs pay really well here, I want to buy my old mans car before I go.
Plus way further down the line i wanna look into law enforcement, and police recruitment here is all merit based... meaning the more experience you have with dealing with people of different backgrounds, ethnicity, weapons, general life experience etc the more kindly they'll take to your application.
What country are you located in? I understand what you mean about having high merit, I'm a police recruit currently, but for some reason in my state here in Australia, recruiting aren't particularly fond of people with a history in security.
I've been working on my screaming, I want to be the frontman of a metalcore band.
Ausbro here too...
I'm in QLD, They never specifically mentioned having a problem with security, even the officers i've spoken with outside of the info sessions never mentioned it... surely they'd have no problems with guards that do their job properly and don't fit the stereotype? you know the one i mean
Can you do the opening scream from Dig?
Fucking hell bro, QLD fag here as well. But yeah it's because of the stereotype that there's apparently a bit of a stigma. Every security guard I know that applied for the qps didn't make it through, even after completing every assessment and making it into the merit pool. Take this with a grain of salt though man, I never heard any of this info from recruiting directly, just the people I know that got cut.
Yeah fairo, makes sense...
Doesn't matter, it's down the line after ADF for me... If i get AmmoTech anyway i'd be working along side Police, i bet that'll score brownie points in the recruitment process... But i digress.
fatguy here, moved away from home and in with someone else who actually home cooks meals and gets me out of the house every day
noticed that my once "pretty tight" jeans were now starting to get loose, and eventually needing a belt to even stay up. decided then to actively look to lose weight and get swole.
been 4 weeks here now, started this about 2 and a half weeks ago. kinda went into the deep end from day 1, i've been following a meal plan and hitting my macros every day (had two slip ups) and i've been doing the hiit stuff from darebee as well as throwing in some walking in the morning.
also being doing protein shakes as a during and post workout thing and it's working nicely. i don't look slimmer to me yet, but other people who knew me before have noticed a bit of a difference. definitely feel healthier. at first i was tired and sore after some high knees/squats, but now i usually do that before my actual sets.
hoping to get a gym membership soon, but don't want to seem like a resolutioner.
we're all gonna make it, bros.
ADF alone is good brownie points. Goodluck with your shit breh, if you ever remember this convo during your police application, just remember to put more emphasis on your adf career than your security one. There was 6000 applicants for 250 spots this year, so they're choosy as fuck.
Nice work man, keep it up.
Funny how other people notice you're slimmer before you really do.. Like, You notice... But you think it's just in your head. Feels good regardless.
And man, just get the gym membership... be a bro lifter and just do you... no one will mind unless you're acting like a douche your first month or so... just stick to it, you start to see who the regulars are and make friends with them.. or make light talk at least when you lock eyes.
Good luck with it all user!
Will do bruh, Have a nice day eh man.
>I read 3 books so far in December
>successfully formulated a plan (and started) to become debt-free by June 2017
>started a new lifting routine that focuses more on aesthetic progress than purely strength.
I've started to cut out unnecessary spending on things that don't benefit me, and instead I've been spending loosely on things that I enjoy and make me feel good. I'm spending about the same overall, but my quality of life is much higher.
I've made a commitment to not accept free/low-quality shit anymore. Clothing, shoes, knick-knacks, anything that I don't really NEED or that will make me feel good is labelled as an unnecessary use of space.
As a result, I've cleaned out my closet and apartment and gotten rid of/donated a ton of shit. Decluttering has made me feel so free and powerful it is amazing.
>made a conscious effort to be nicer to my girlfriend and family because I'm harsh sometimes
>made a habit of complimenting strangers (only genuine compliments though)
>trying to do something every day after work instead of going to our apartment and smoking pot (gym, shopping, doesn't matter what as long as it's not pothead time)
>I started carrying $300 in cash with me. I still buy things with my credit card, but carrying cash and knowing that I *could* spend it on anything makes me feel powerful and more confident for some reason
>I've been doing 20-100 push ups every single day. I do them at work, at home, wherever I can if I have the free time
>STOPPED drinking alcohol and soda entirely. I only drink water, tea, coffee and sometimes juice if I'm craving sugar
>Shave every morning even if it's just a tiny bit of scruff, use new deodorant and cologne, also started using some skincare products
Sorry bruh, skimmed over your post.
I hope you keep at the gym, strengthen that hand back up.. surgery always fucks with strength, having things in casts for so long and all.
finished my scarf lads, im feeling proug
Are you me?
It all feels so good doesn't it.. Is this what it's like to be normal?
Can you make me one?
I've never owned a scarf.
Neat work. First Scarf?
Seriously
Just setting some goals and actually executing on them is an incredible feeling
I still have a grey one, which was the second I ever made, it is horribly uneven. It kinda gives it some charm. It is all yours if you want it (pic related).
Nah, this is my 3rd. My rows are getting quite even now, making me confident enough to have a go at a t-shirt. Do you knit yourself?
I don't knit, but I can always appreciate hand-crafted items, and those who make them.
Have you considered making something from multiple colors or materials?
kind of you... But i'll pass it up this time, user
Im thinking about teaching myself how to knit pixels within a larger piece, so I can make a pixel-art shirt. This is my long term knitting goal to achieve, if it is even possible. You can only knit with string, but it all has to have the same consistency, otherwise you will get uneven shapes.
Kek, I understand. Thats the reason why it has been lying in my closet for a long time now.
>tfw hit 7k followers on my instagram
>fat is falling off
>TFW most of my friends were vanilla as fuck and i post instagram photos about country and guns and shiz apart from gym...
not finding any real outlet to gain momentum
Started Keto the day after Thanksgiving.
In the first 3 weeks, I lose six pounds.
Now I just gain and lose the same pound each week. It's fucking infuriating.
My metabolism has always been shit. I ate healthy before Keto, now I'm restricting even more shit from my diet and I can't lose the weight. I'm even taking a natural thermo/burner supplement.
I've been lifting for the majority of my adult life and I have to watch genetic Gods reap the returns with half the work and twice the aesthetics. Makes me depressed.
Other than that, I've been thinking about getting a Masters so my life doesnt suck so much.
Throw away your winter jacket and get a short coat with a scarf asap, my friend. Add solid simple black leather gloves too. Timeless classic that looks great on everybody and can be worn everywhere.
>got a job that fits my majors that pays good money
>got bachelor flat right next to the job place for only 50% (other half is paid by employer)
Starting from 2017. Excited and worried at the same time since I have been only studying for 19 years while living with my parents. Wish me luck, bros.
life is not worth improving for
>got a job that fits my majors that pays good money
>got bachelor flat
You are my short-term idol user. You are well in the process of making it!
>tfw 2 week winter break
>no friends
>can't afford car
What do?
Work on your mental gainz? Do you have a profession?
Took my sweet time with it though. Got my degree at the beginning of June and I only went to two job interviews since. Hate the process so much, though I lucked out and got this one. So far it seems as great opportunity. I will know soon enough, my neet days are numbered.
No problemo man, thanks for responding.
I'm working at it, trying to get rid of motivation and just gain some discipline.
Drink shit tons of water - you plateau.
I was stuck at 78.0kg for 3 weeks, and suddenly dropped to 76.5kg and started losing from their again.
No fucking clue, but it's common.
Probably
Appreciate it. I'm sure it isn't helping that I picked the worst time of the year to cut.
I live in northern US so I can't get any exercise outside anymore.
do any of you ever just feel like being away from everything, like just going on a trip to where nobody knows you for some time for catharsis. my relatively little amount of independence is probably a lot of the reason tho
Did that november last year after my gf dumped me... Fitted a loud exhaust to my car and started driving through the country, 500kms later and after almost spinning out from speeding and crying about life behind the wheel I found a tiny little town, and cruised around it.... Then headed back home.
Ever since that day though I've hadthis sort of dependency on my car, emotionally.... As in it's my strong point in life... The thing that's always there for me when shit goes south
