While doing SS, can I just add additional volume by deloading the bar to around 80% after my working sets and do like 2-3 additional sets each 10+reps with that or would this burn me out if I did it 3 times a week? Should I just switch to TM altogether? I don't really want to fall for the "only sets of fahve because texas dun did it" meme. Any other good intermediate programs that include volume and high intensity?

You can, might have to tweak the percentages a bit though, and that probably wouldn't work too well with deads, but I'd suggest something lower impact, like LTEs, curls, chins, leg curls, etc.

Grayskull LP is excellent. Gzcl is also very good in my opinion. They're both good programs for getting bigger and stronger without being too powerlifting specific.

Powerlifting specific programs are appropriate when you need it for competition, but they can be a lot of drudgery and sometimes they're not very much fun. Not to mention they're often not very well-rounded for general fitness.

Soreness does not equal recovery. You should be good enough to hit the numbers on Thursday. Just try harder

Doing Greyskull LP, thinking about doing 5x3 instead of 3x5, how does that sound? Having problem recovering while boxing 3-4 times a week.
