If you really have self control issues, plan out your next day's meals the night before and STICK TO YOUR PLAN

try chilled carbonated water with fresh lemon and lime wedges added. Squeeze the lemon and lime wedges first to add the juice into the water and to release the oils from the zest.

You just have to stop drinking it. Simple as that.

Every time you crave soda, just drink water (or juice if you NEED flavor )until you no longer crave anything. It honestly helped me.

Most sodas contain 45miligrams of caffeine, the same amount as in tea and half of what is in coffee.

Caffeine withdrawal could be unconsciously drawing you towards drinking soda. Substitute the soda for tea/coffee. You can add 1 or 2 teaspoons of sugar to make it taste better if you want (like 30 calories worth)

I quit drinking soda for a about a year. I drank a root beer just recently and it was gooooood asf. Mouth was burning but it was goooood. Anyways I went cold turkey again because gaining weight from it is worse than the god bless taste.

This wasn't true for me, but then I drink diet, so it doesn't really matter.

Drink mineral water. Most often people don't crave soda's taste (soda tastes pretty fucking awful once you haven't drunk it for a while), but the (usually cold) fizz. Bonus, mineral water is actually cheaper than soda as long as you don't dish out for the fancy brands which are literally the same thing (the artificial one is called seltzer), except "natural" so several times more expensive.

How does one totally avoid sugar? Like seriously try, but I can barely make 2500 calories or so a day without it or other bad carbs like bleached flour.

Start drinking 3 litres of water a day.
That's what I started doing and now I don't really feel like drinking coke as much. Infact, I can't even finish a whole bottle or can anymore without throwing it out
