Teeth care thread

Veeky Forums bros I'm freaking out about my teeth. I booked a dentist appointment next week but I can't stop thinking about this

Past few days I noticed the right outer teeth have been stinging when I'm brushing.

I'm freaking out and can't stop thinking about. Today I brushed very lightly and there wasn't as much stinging. I also floss most days if I'm not late

Fuck please tell me it's not that bad reeeeeee

they'll just give you a filling. Just ask them how to properly take care of teeth

wait and listen to the dentist instead of asking Veeky Forums you goon

>filling
What is this for? Never had a cavity or anything in my life
January 6 is my appointment

Freaking out first i go bald at 19 now this. I can't catch a break

>tfw hadn't seen a dentist for 10+ years
>tfw got severe toothache one day
>tfw i have to go and she says my teeth are basically fucked
>tfw 12-13mm pockets all over my mouth
>tfw the dentist says even after i go to a specialist for cleaning, it prob won't get any better
>tfw i should've never let it get this bad

Feels really bad man. I'll never get a gf with a mouth like this. Just shows that brushing and flossing is a gimmick. Actually getting a clean from my dentist once or twice a year could have saved me being a 30 year old gumsy cunt.

Fuckk my life i haven't been in years

I found a hot dentist so I actually don't mind going now. She rubs my arms and puts her tits in my face. That's the trick, boys

Sensetive teef??

Take vitamin D. Shit has helped my teeth a lot.

Fuck if it's sensitive it means i fucked up my enamel which means i fucked it up forever
Just fuck my life up senpai

My back right tooth only hurts if I have a lot of sugar.

It is kind of weird. It's very rare I have sugar.

Went to the dentist recently and there was nothing either.

>tfw 12-13mm pockets all over my mouth

DUDE WHAT THE FUCK

Just be confident.

Where exactly does it hurt? On the tooth itself or in your gums? If you have sensitive teeth You can ask for a Fluoride Varnish from your dentist. It takes like 5 minutes to do and will help prevent sensitivity as well as prevent future cavities.

If you fuck up your enamel are you done for life?

Also, I hope your canines can at least still be saved so you have good anchoring points for dentures. Otherwise I hope you get them fitted really well.

just like brush more softer

Yes and no. You can remineralize what you still have with fluoride, by getting a fluoride varnish and perhaps asking for a prescription strength fluoride tooth paste. But you will never naturally grow it back. You can avoid sensitivity with a few methods though.

Also specifically buy toothbrushes that say "soft" and learn how to brush your teeth properly. Everyone scrubs them, stripping enamel after they weakened it from eating. What you want to do is to gently "vibrate" the toothbrush on your teeth to dislodge food and plaque. You're not trying to scrub off anything. You're just trying to dislodge it to swish it away with water.

All in all, drink more water and try to brush your teeth before you eat to get rid of any plaque before you put food all over it. And then swish your mouth with water after to neutralize the acidity of your mouth to prevent demineralization by acid.

Yeah I had no idea they were that bad. My teeth aren't stained that badly or anything. No one would assume I have bad dental hygiene or anything, I'd say they look fine in person. I was so disappointed when she was calling out those numbers.

;_;

I'd at least get a second opinion. If you haven't had any pain or bleeding I have trouble believing your pockets are that fucking deep. Best of luck, bro.

I think i definitely have been brushing too hard. When i tried do it very softly it didn't sting very much.

I'll soon be seeing another dentist anyway at the surgery because I'm going for root cleaning or something. I hope to god I don't need gum grafts and all that shit. They do bleed when I brush, even with a very soft brush. They look sore close up, and I've always terrible breath no matter how much I clean my mouth.

I did want to get my teeth straightend, but I hardly think that'll be an option with my weak gums.

Go to the dentist regularly bros, it's for the best.

Floss. Flossing twice a day is there best thing you can do for your teeth. Ever since I started I haven't had a cavity for 3 years. Also brushing and eating decent food, drinking little soda helps

REMINDER THAT IF YOU DONT SCRAPE YOUR TONGUE AFTER BRUSHING YOUR TEETH YOUR BREATH WILL STILL SMELL LIKE SHIT

They just drill a potentially dangerous point of tooth decay slightly larger, so they can fill it with some kinda ceramic shit. You don't really know you have them desu, I have like 8.

You have to get a needle usually but it's smooth sailing after that.

tfw was born with like half the normal amount of enamel
God help me lads, im gonna need fake teeth by the time im 30

Does this mean you can't drink or eat cold/hot things?

Does it bother yoh when you brush

How do I keep up the habit guys. Ever since highschool I've been stuck in this cycle of trying to develop the habit and then forgetting. Any life tips on how to stick with a habit?

anyone that has experience with crest white strips? I hear they are actually not a meme if done properly. I think I saw an infographic posted on /fit years ago but i never saved it.

Fuck that waste of money

>whitening toothpaste
>mouthwash
>floss

It'll get white quick

...

Have the discipline to do it when you wake up and before you go to bed. Personally I slip up every now and again, but my mouth will feel so dirty that I can't stand missing more than one session. Just floss, brush everything until they feel clean, brush your tongue, then mouth wash.

Is it your gums stinging? You may have receeding gums. I got it from brushing too hard.

This is my problem, dentist also recommended me to "vibrate" the gums, I'm also using crest white strips since the hygenist said they were harmless so here's hoping.

But luckily if it continues to recede, gum grafts are a common procedure and look seamless
