He explains it that it allows the lifter to improve technique and strength at specific parts of the lift, and he can program the weight RPE and fatigue separately for each part, so that the harder part doesn't bottleneck the easier part.

I can dip 3 reps with 60kg added(yes full rom) at 90 kg but I struggle to bench 90kg for 4

Benching 4x a week is what you should do if you're not a pussy.

Bench has gone from a disgustingly shaky 225 to a solid 210 for 7 @ RPE 9 in 3.5 months.

Spotoshot without the slingshot. So just regular bench on the slingshot days. Spotopressing a lot helped with my ass flying off the bench.

I'll probably buy a slingshot not too long after my meet that's in 3.5 weeks.

I'd recommend doing less volume than what I did, but if you aren't cutting as hard, I think you'll be fine.
