What jobs do you faggots do?

Starting electrician apprenticeship at the end of June, what's it like? I've heard both good and bad things. How will my gains be affected?

was firefighter, now EMT

My brother seems to enjoy being an electrician. He's always driving around the state doing different repair or set up work I guess.
I'm a welder. It's a pretty easy living.

I'm a crypto fag in the navy.

Fun fact a lot of my clients are dudes

Was application developer, but soon i will join the army.
Hope this decision was worth.. probably not.

I dress up like a horse and get jerked off by this guy.

I dress up like that guy so I can jerk you off as you pretend to be a horse.

I'm a lobbyist for one of the UK's biggest PR firms.

Barely anyone lifts in my company, which is very surprising.

You son of a bitch

autist

NOT EVEN JOKING

I'm a personal tax customer service consultant.

Basically I'm the guy you yell at when you think you're paying too much tax.

I like you sometimes, man. You bumped my returns up last time.

haha faggot

I investigate EI claims for fraudulent activity in the Atlantic region of Canada.
It's a busy job.

prepare to get hazed

CAD monkey here, Mechanical Designer

sometimes I feel like you and hate sitting around all day in a cubicle

but I used to have a labor-based job and it sucked coming home with absolutely zero energy to expend. I try to remember I have it much easier sitting around all day. Also you can't fuck around on the internet for half the day in most jobs.

Personal trainer.

Data analyst in a big company.

24 yo

Same here. Former laborer turned office worker. People "bored" of office work don't understand how bad physical work is, it's dreadful. I'll take the monotony of an office.

PR would be a mostly female workforce, so it fits. Bet the homosexuals keep the lifting stats up at least. Which are you user?

On the real, how many of you anons chose jobs you're passionate about and how many chose jobs with a good paycheck?

Not trying to be offensive or anything but my whole life I've wondered how people can give 40 years of their life to something they have no interest in

Plumber

I recognise this picture but can't remember which youtuber

Air National Guard (cyber ops) and full-time student.

Let me ask you something. How many people have you met that were passionate about accounting? Do you think reading about exemptions and capital gains gives me a raging boner?
Chose this job for the $$$ and for the prestige and to fulfill my parents' expectations.

I'm the EI claims guy. I don't mind my job, but I do see it as a temporary step to my dream job.
As part of the public service of Canada I have decent career mobility, and I'm a part time grad student only about 6 months away from having my masters in urban and regional planning. I'd love to eventually work for Parks Canada or another large federal land holder to design recreational spaces.
As it is, I'm 25 years old, this job pays about $58k per year, it's an 8-4, Monday to Friday job with good benefits and holidays, and the management structure supports career development, so I have flexibility between my job and studies.
So I guess you could say that even if I don't move up to my eventual dream job, I at least feel like I'm not settling because I'm on the way to a career I'm passionate about, even if there's no guarantee I'll actually reach it, I try to remain "hungry".

NEET :^)

People can be passionate about anything but yeah, seems weird to be passionate about accounting, that's why I asked.

Intradasting, thanks for the answer user

I sell high tech bone-drilling equipment to Docs and OR's for Osteotomy. Then I teach the OR how to use it. Our company is based in Italy and I get to travel there sometimes.

Shit is cash.

Entertainer/Performer

Chemist and goong back to school part time

Y-you too?

I just applied for EI last week. How do I tell if I'm approved? I got my access code in the mail. I created an account. Logged in. But there's nothing that says "hey man you're getting this much money, your application has been approved."

how much do you get paid as a welder and what do you do and who do you work for and where do you work and why do you do it and is it a good job?

I'm the systems administrator, and I admit I'm not "passionate" about IT. I certainly like working with computers, but it was never my dream to be a sysadmin.

However, I am passionate about the COMPANY I work for, or at least how they treat their employees. In my job, I am given freedom to choose how I handle a problem (I'm not stuck doing one UND ONLY ONE set of tests as it is with many IT jobs), and I'm given genuine respect from my peers. In addition, it is the only company I've ever worked for that not only offered me a salary, but openly stated that I can at any time discuss my pay with management and increase my salary (so long as there is precedence for me to do so, i.e. that I've been doing my job properly). The fact that I get perks like gym membership compensation and "unlimited" sick time (I don't have a set number of sick days but if I take too many at once I have to talk to HR) is just icing on the cake.

This might sound like fairly standard shit for a company to do, but after several years of dealing with garbage contract IT work it feels good to be in a place that actually feels stable and fun to work at.

At this point in time, the only way I'd leave is if I actually started making significant money doing my actual dream (video game dev), and even then it'd be hard for me to leave because I like it there so much.

Wendy's Chef

60k a year

nurse

I'm not that user but I'm an accountant too.
Double entry accounting and Gaap are basically the reason the American economy shits on everybody else, we can tell ahead of time when a decision is bad.
Tax accounting is the gayest shit on the planet and basically revolves around being a bitch for the IRS.

I get 25 something an hour. My workplace maxes out at 29 an hour I believe. I mig weld aluminum for America and Canada. It's a very easy job, but fast paced. I don't hate the job, but it's nothing I love.

In short, I am a tard wrangler.

A behavior aide for emotionally disturbed children. These kids, especially high schoolers can be strong and volatile. Occasionally, I have to restrain when they are a danger to others and themselves.

Had to disarm an at least 250 pound 16 year old boy who grabbed some scissors, made a kissing face with his lips, opened up the scissors and held them to his lips.

Despite the crippling sadness associated with this job, it's decent money and part time while I go to school.

Copywriting.

With a bit of PR and SEO thrown in for good measure.

r u a big guy

Computer programming
Pros: $$$, cushy workong conditions
Cons: pain in the ass, have to do a lot of research and make sure you get enough sleep and eat right or you'll do a shit job and get fired. Basically like taking ill-defined open-book take-home exams for a living for people who remember college, plus office politics.

4 u

No, i am actually a girl. But generally have to get involved in scenarios like this because I am very fit and usually work with 40-60 year old women who are not strong enough.

We are also trained in ways which I know how to restrain and disarm children who are bigger than me.

Right now I work in a warehouse for my day job and as a technician for theatrical shows nights and weekends but I'm training to become a yoga teacher as a new, better day job

Daily activities of project management aren't that enjoyable, but I do get to travel to foreign counties. This helps with my plans to pick up a qt3.14 Polish grill.
>implying I care if she uses me for a greencard

What's your day to day? I'm considering switching to electrical engineering, im studying mechanical atm but the image of spending all day filling in excel spreadsheets for an engineering firm puts me off.

My mom does the same thing! She hates it, because she's an average-sized woman and some of those kids are huge. But with the techniques they learn they can restrain someone twice their size, I've seen her do it, it's impressive.

If you have a My Service Canada Account, you should be able to see the status of your claim. If you don't have one, or don't see it, call into the EI help number, your best day to call is Thursday morning, the Newfoundland office starts taking calls at 8am Newfoundland Time, and they take calls from across the country, so pretty early, if you want to bypass waiting on hold.
Unfortunately, without more detail, I can't give you more information. Good luck getting benefits, it's usually a pretty smooth process, and good luck finding other work.

I'm a cop in Houston

Air Force pilot
>Free top quality gyms wherever I go
>Literally get paid to lift
>Get to see the world and do bad ass shit

Literally the only downside is that the military is a sausage fest and it's helluh difficult meeting QTs.

IT guy here too. IT Helpdesk for a solicitors. Just started a month ago. It's already boring as fuck but luckily I have a guy in the same job role who is a cool guy which makes it better.

No one really is passionate about IT. I thought I was untill I realised how boring as fuck it is to do on a daily basis, its just something that people become good at and decide to go into it because it comes easy to them. My friend is a database administrator and says its boring as fuck but comfy.

They said I will be on 28k (Pounds sterling) after my first year. Which for the UK is pretty good for a man in his early 20's.

It's actually quite good for my personal development as I have to speak to so many people daily, most of which are either very rich, powerful men wearing suits or well-paid beautiful women; Helps you gain some confidence definitely. Also, because its a 'sitting at a desk' job I always have enough fuel to hit the gym after work. All in all I just think of the money and the gains I can make.

I am electrician in CAN, just finished my apprenticeship a few months ago. It's okay the money is fairly good but it is hard on your body. Most of the older guys I see are basically crippled. But the money is good for now. as for gains some days being In the gym is a waste because I'm already gassed from work.

Tell us more, user.

can someone lead me in the right direction, need a job with no human interaction, is in the evening or at night and wont make me kill myself

Is it allowed to roid?

IT Sales here

on the phone all day talking to people across Canadaland getting orders in and providing consultation.

Gym in the office, broke 100k with a successful sales year, job involves a LOT of drinking

What a downgrade

Janitor.

Completely fucking serious, janitors make pretty damn good money and night shift don't have to talk to fucking anyone if they don't want.

Janitors at my work make 4k a month starting. They are also stone cold silent but get the job done.

Nope. Only the spec ops guys can get away with roiding. I'll get piss tested about once every month.

I study mathematics

Kinda sucks, doesnt it?

Grocery clerk isn't bad.
The grocery stores around here do their stocking at night and it's easy to get 40 hours a week. Once you get full time they pay around $16-19/hr.
My brother did that to put himself through school.

Dentist here
I only hate it when the patients are being unreasonably churlish and be a complete dick about it. Much like posting on 4 chan or how Veeky Forums views tumblr grossos on health: "I have spent years in dental school learning about materials and subject, but it seems like you're more of an expert on dentistry because you read a blog written by middle aged bored suburban mom."-ish type of deal situations pisses me off the most.

I'm a recruitment director. In a nutshell, I manage all the recruitment, staffing, payroll needs of all stores within a region, about two dozen. Typically 9-5.

Pay is decent, office is fairly nice, Co workers are somewhat dependable, however it is boring as fuck. I have a masters in History from a few years back and thought about return education to become a college lecturer / teacher. A lot of horror stories put me off but other than lifting I am a total history boffin and could easily talk for my country.

Torn between picking a job that will challenge me, have me talking about my subject matter but then deal with angsty late teenagers, paper grading etc (many people in education in my country also earn 6 figures), or pick the easy 9-5 that gets me by in my alright house, money to do things and take the odd vacation as well as time to workout.

No commitments other than a gf to speak of, so if Im going to change my career I need to pick and decide soon.

Any teachers / college lecturers on Veeky Forums?

Retail, trying to fine a real job

but it's a good job. I liked crafty things and wanted to go into the science/med field.

Do you have a degree in computer engineering?
Can any anons in this thread gimme some degree advice.
Im thinking something along the lines of Computer engineering but im also interest in something like bio-chemistry and just not sure which could offer better jobs and $$$.

junior software engineer at IBM(technically global foundries now)

Hope you get shot piggy

Communications degree? Sounds like a sweet gig.

Medical Student

I was hoping to see this. Thanks user

current grad student for MS in comp. sci. Looking to go into cybersecurity.

Another electrical engineer here.

Luckily, I get to travel overseas for my work. So I'm only stuck in a cubicle for maybe half of the year.

Regular day in the office is about sending emails to contractors/suppliers about organising/purchasing things and typing up documents.
On site I get to build shit with my hands.

Are you good at programming? If so, you'll enjoy computer engineering. I was shit at programming so I swapped to electrical engineering. As for jobs and $$ I think that depends on your country.

Bio chem sounds interesting and hard as fuck. Computer engineering/software has become a meme in the last few years. Too many pajeets and code monkeys throwing out shit.

bio-chem jobs are 80% oil/gas fyi. Computer engineering is hard but neat, Comp. Sci is where the $$$ is at.
