Bullshit, bodybuilders experience a massive drop in test leading up to a comp due to the fact they are dieting down to a moronically low bf%.

If it was solely the protein you would expect to see low test consistently not just when prepping.

Also the drop in test after a meal of animal protein happens with tofu as well, pic related. See the suppverisity article: "True or False: Dairy Is a Toxic Hormone Cocktail That's a Threat to Your Testosterone Levels & Fertility and Promotes Breast, Prostate & Other Forms of Cancer!" (can't link it).

A transient decrease of test doesn't mean shit.

Also, from the study on carb/pro ratios and test levels he missed this point

>and were accompanied by parallel changes in sex hormone binding globulin (32.5 +/- 2.8 nmol/l vs. 23.4 +/- 1.6 nmol/l respectively, p less than 0.01)
ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/3573976

High protein diets lead to a reduction in total test but were accompanied by a reduction in SHBG. Free test, what actually matters, was unchanged. And vice versa for the higher carb group.

yes, we are finding out that meat is not as good for as you we were taught from childhood. Let alone red meat, which has been proven at this point to lead a number of serious negative consequences

Im not a vegan or vegetarian, im just not going to argue against facts

Fuck off OP

'High animal protein intake was positively associated with cardiovascular mortality and high plant protein intake was inversely associated with all-cause and cardiovascular mortality, especially among individuals with at least 1 lifestyle risk factor. Substitution of plant protein for animal protein, especially that from processed red meat, was associated with lower mortality, suggesting the importance of protein source.'

yfw vegan gainz was right

Green giant pls go

>ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/27479196
Taken from the full text:
>Interestingly, in this study, we found that the association of animal and plant protein with mortality varied by lifestyle factors, and any statistically significant protein-mortality associations were restricted to participants with at least 1 of the unhealthy behaviors, including smoking, heavy alcohol intake, overweight or obesity, and physical inactivity....

>Those with unhealthy lifestyles consumed more processed and unprocessed red meat, whereas the healthy-lifestyle group consumed more fish and chicken as animal protein sources

Unhealthy people have unhealthy diets... WOH!

Absolutely massive room for confounders there.

People in todays society who eat vegetarian are much, much more likely to be health conscious than those who don't.

Health conscious people are more likely to exercise

Exercise reduces mortality.

Perhaps the majority of the animal fat eaters did not do much exercise (again, not unlikely in today's society), causing a massive confounder.

>>People in todays society who eat vegetarian are much, much more likely to be health conscious than those who don'

Every Vegetarian I've met or seen online that wasn't a bodybuilder was fat..

So i can do a high protein diet and transition, thanks
