I used to goodpost on Veeky Forums quite a lot. Helped people with their diets, gave recovery & form tips, just general encouragement.

You should eat *clean* at maintenance and lift heavy. As a beginner lifter you can recomp very quickly (ignore what the meme blogs say). Lift with frequency and volume, do a PPL routine with 1-2 compounds @ 3x5 and 4-6 accessory lifts @ 3x8-15.

Within 3 months you'll have made great aesthetic progress.

I’m not OP but I’m in a similar situation to him and I’ve sort of been doing what you suggested. Is this enough volume? I do PPLx and repeat.

That's probably good, but I'd recommend more exercises to make sure you are really hitting every facet of each muscle. I don't max out ever and use weight I'm comfortable with (and always increasing weight when possible)

If you are skinnyfat you should be hitting your delts, lats, upper chest, triceps and biceps hard as fuck. I do Push rest pull legs push rest (repeat)

Day2:

Bent over rows

calf raises
Triceps extension
Day3:
Same as day 1 but I switch squat with bench
. Days on rotation.
