480, nothing super impressive. I've been chasing 500 for a little bit.

My old gym wasn't open 24 hours. It was barely open 12. Weekends, it would close at like 8:30 and 7:30.

Hopefully 24 hours with the new one means I won't have any excuses.

The 24 hour gym and the other gym are in the same city, even. I wasn't too concerned about time for the first gym when I originally started, it was a smaller local gym.

I have to stop making excuses though. I'm getting older, am already 27, and feel like this is my last chance to get in shape.

I work evening - night shifts, frequently get off work at 3 am and still find a way to work out. To be honest, 3 am is a pretty sweet time to hit the gym, desolate and tranquil, not a soul in sight. I can blast any kind of music I want, all equipment for myself. I can even rest on equipment between sets without being a douche and shower there without feeling weird. Only guy to show up is a janitor, and he's mirin for sure.

Today I was benching and dropped the bar on my face accidentally
smashed my lip into my teeth but i managed to catch it real fuckin' quick before it really fucked my shit up

I have a home gym

I'm glad I've gained enough confidence to not care about people laughing at the gym

your squat seems disproportionately strong to me, I can deadlift 515 but can only squat 275 for 7-8 at the best of times, sure as hell can't get near 20 reps

She has such a nice ass too (pls don't tell FBI, legal in my country). Showed her who's boss the other they tho by asking to work in while she squatted and OHPing the weight.

There are people who, with no wrap and to full depth, still squat more than they deadlift.

There's a lot of variation out there. The actual shortest-femured lifter I've ever heard over squats double his deadlift. He's an actual dwarf though so that probably doesn't count.

yeah i know the guy you're talking about, but that's mainly due to the fact that his hands are too short to hold on to any decent weight in the deadlift

usually squat > deadlift thing only happens in heavier weight classes, 120+ guys who have a giant gut aiding their squat and ruining their deadlift setup

As a Korean, I can easily tell apart Koreans from Chinks and Viets, but Japs are hard as fuck. Our language even sound the same to a degree.

If you can do that, then you can absolutely power through the ~4 hours a week it takes to stay in shape. Any time you think you can't, remind yourself that you worked 30 fucking days in a row, of course you can. You did that because you had to, and you'll do this because you have to. Never treat it like it's optional.

You can either spend that hour in the gym feeling great that you're making it, or you can spend that hour riddled with guilt and shame knowing you could have done better. Those are your options going forward, makes it a pretty simple choice.
Never fall into the trap of thinking "if I don't work out, that's an extra hour of relaxing after a hard day." It's not, it's just an extra hour of feeling like shit. But if you prioritise and get it done, power through that one little hour, then all the other hours left of your night will feel great, your sleep will be better, your tomorrow will be better, your life will be better, because you fucking did it.

I can't tell Indians, Sri lankins or pakistanis apart but I can with high accuracy tell apart Vietnamese, Chinese, Gooks and Japs.
South east asians are a little more dificult because some Thailand and Indonesians have a really similar skin tone which is harder to differentiate.

Gooks are really gooky in nature, they'll do gook things and like you said the gook part of their face is gookier than a non-gook.

North and Southern chinese look different to some degree but its mostly only apparently when they get into their late 50's and 60's when you cant really tell if they're taiwanese or hongkongian or mainlander.

120kg isnt much. Brian shaw can probably do close to 200kg. He does 170-180kg with a log press The world record is 230kg
