This is twelve months progress (01.01.16 -01.01.17) It's far from optimal, but I've only been on a real program for the last 4 months. Before that I fucked around a lot, ate like a retard and had to cut.

From DYEL to slightly less DYEL

Amazing work OP, I started at 265 and am 190 at the moment, same height as well.
I've finally managed to get myself onto a 1200 calorie intake for the past week, a few more weeks and I'll be at my goal of 172-176.
5 Months is bloody insane, I've been losing the weight over 4 years or so; last 20lb or so is definitely the hardest; especially with some other health issues.

I don't think I made much gains at all constantly trying to lose weight while building muscle, but I'm finally going to lose the last bit of weight.

Nice work, although I can tell you're kinda sucking your stomach in in the after pic.

I don't have any reference pics unfortunately because I hated myself so much I refused to take any. I wish I would have though

I do the progressive PPL off of /r/fitness (yeah reddit fag whatever), plus 20 minutes of cardio a day for heart health and all that bullshit. Diet is just try to eat as clean as possible, get at least 120g of protein a day and stay within 1800 calories

If you're asking about "eat big get big" versus reality, then it's as simple as keeping your bulks moderate at +300 calories/day over maintenance TDEE. NOT eating everything in sight and adding pointless weight to the scale. Bulking shouldn't be an excuse to eat significantly more food than normal...300 calories per day is virtually nothing, talking an extra 100 calories per meal if you eat 3 times a day, or keep the same meals and add a snack somewhere in the mix.

I just got really lucky on that front, I actually have my pants pulled lower in this photo because I usually get accused of tucking extra skin into my pants

But yes, 5 months. I started at the end of August. My routine has been sporadic, I did SS for 3 months but got bored and switched over to bodyweight. I also run 4x a week.
As for diet I didn't follow anything specific, just tried to keep it under 2k calories per day and over 100g of protein. Avoided carbs, sugars,and just generally ate healthy

Well hello there, sunshine! Having a rough day?

That progress pic just shows my cutting results. Actually, I hit my body fat goal in November, when I was 9.3% BF. I was eating 1,500 calories per day and lifting heavy -- that's about it. All it takes is a good deficit, consistency, and patience. I've only been lean bulking for about 4 weeks now, so there's no really noticeable progress yet. Here's the best I've got right now.

Thanks! Yeah, it was just one big cut. However, it was actually fairly enjoyable for me. I never felt hungry or had any cravings. I just kinda sat back and watched the fat melt away! Now that I'm lean bulking, my plan is to never have to cut for more than a month or two in order to return to a single-digit body fat percentage.

Before i was 120 kg. I'm 77 now, the after pic is kinda old, i got some more muscle.

Sat at 230 from Oct to Dec nursing a shitty delt injury and a broken relationship, started getting back into it just before Christmas.
