What is your profession, Veeky Forums?

Are you a joblet? How does the social status of your job convert into a height?

I'm starting in corporate law this fall, which is about a 6'1" job.

im cutting fish for a living, basically wageslaving my life one hour at a time

except im 6'2" irl

Own and operate my own ranch

Dildo factory - Head of testing

I was a soldier. Now I climb big fucking masts to install antennas and shit

Part time working as an assistant in an office, rest of the time studying.

Independently wealthy
You are nothing but the 95% just...average.

Lawyer.
>wake up at 6:00, leave house at 06:15
>lift from 6:30 until 07:30
>work from 08:35 until 21:00
>sleep 8 hours a day
>study on the weekends

The future is a good place to be.

>implying women don't want doctors and lawyers more than some guy who runs a little app which collects data and uses it to advertise better

Tax, litigation, or M&A?

Real Estate Agent
It can either make you shorter or taller depending on how well you're doing.

I'm 5'9 and after many years of grinding and becoming a master salesperson, it has definitely added inches too my height. I'm probably around 6'0 now.

Im in training for becoming an officer. I dont know how to imperial measurements so im just gonna say its a 190cm job.

Litigation. Mostly just contract/equity disputes, with some administrative law and Constitutional issues once in a while.

I like the balance of reading, researching, writing, examining witnesses, and actually going to Court. And the subject matter changes considerably from case to case, which helps mix up your days. Evidence review is a bit of a pain, but that'll pass once I gain some seniority. And I like the "fight" aspect in litigation.

I don't understand how solicitors can deal with no Court time, writing the same contracts every day, and making closing books and sending a bazillion emails, but a few of my friends are going into that and they're good people.

>women want
Kill ys you're are selves

Who the everloving fuck cares what women want?
If you choose a career path based on what women want i sincerly hope you end up losing all your gains

I do programming for industrial automation and simulation software

Lucky you. Tax is a fucking tosser.
T. CPA + JD

Air Force Reserves part time and full time student. I worked on wall street last summer so that was pretty nice. I think that would make me 6'2

>a reservist
>6'2

Kek

I took tax I, flipped through the 2800+ pages of 10 point font in my annotated income tax act, and decided I would stay the hell away from everything tax.

Good money in it, I guess, and some people like it because its a 'puzzle' - the closest thing to the LSAT logic games section (so I've been told).

You could try moving into more of a tax litigation practice, no?

Everyone who was tall in my Navy reserve unit was an anorexic dadcuck lanklet. One was literally a child molester (court case was pending but not looking good). I noped the fuck out of there back to good old weed smoking civilian life.

>have no diploma
>do work that I absolutely love
>in a truely beautiful environment
>with some of the most amazing people
>in an incredible atmosphere
>pay is litterly €0,00

I don't even care if that makes me 3 feet tall, I'm the happiest midget down here.

Combat medic in the swedish army

188cm or 6'2

Geomatics engineer. In the industry I'm known as a bush surveyor. I spend all my time outdoors, operate a chainsaw a lot, constantly riding quads and sleds, carry an axe and shotgun wherever I go, plus I fiddle around with a gps that's accurate to within 3mm and a total station that can measure to within a fraction of a mm. I would consider it a 6'4 bearmode job, even tho I'm 5'10 ottermode

Are you a slave or a prisoner? I think most prisoners in the US get paid like a dollar an hour, you should move.

Idk, I'm getting married this coming summer and paying off my loans seems fucking daunting. I have a pretty sweet gig at my firm and I don't want to jeopardize it, especially because my uncle pulled some strings for me and he expects me to not disappoint him. I don't see an exit any time soon. All the while, I fucking hate doing the actual work and I loathe our fucking clients.

Is military the Chad of professions?

Neither, I collect autism bucks from the gubbament.

>used to work as a 911 dispatcher
>answered emergency calls and sent ambulances
>fucking loved it
>amazing job, fun to help people
>got pretty fat though eating between calls
>decided to start losing weight
>became a bit obsessed with fitness and diet
>making notes on my routine at my desk, reading starting strength at work etc
>one day get a call
>a woman says she is being followed and is scared for her life
>decide to give advise based on my fitness routine
>laugh and say 'have you tried abdominal barbell rollouts? they will give you the ab strength to push off an attacker'
>hang up
>felt really good about myself for days
>called by supervisor to managers office
>get fired
>the women got raped apparently

I work at publix now

Kys

> Only spending 1 hour in the gym...
> Working 12 hours a day...

You'll never make it.

Wait, I worded that wrong. I do volunteer work at a petting zoo, which is feasable because I get autism bucks.

No need to get all angry because you can't understand socialism. Go shoot up a school, mr freedom.

I wanna be a firefighter how fucked am I

my optometrist is a firefighter volunteer, he gets called in in emergencies or something

you can be a badass fire fighter without being a joblet

that sounds fucking sick! rigger reporting in, some guys are 5' 4" through to 6' 6" - i am that 6' 6" lol

Line cook here. Did the lab and office thing and hated it. Found a passion for cooking and stuck with it - about 4 years now. The pay is garbage, the industry is a wasteful mess, and I'm a helping hand in the proliferation of obesity - however it's the only thing I really enjoy doing. Career height is probably 5'6" like all the Mexicans I work with.

>working
Working would take away from my gains. I work out 12 hours a day. You faggots will NEVER leave humanity behind.

>I'm starting in corporate law this fall, which is about a 6'1" job.

depends on what tier law firm you work at. if its anything below biglaw, then its more of a 5'7.

just remember, the top law graduates dont go into law, they go into investment banking and management consulting.

>my-field-is-better-than-everyone-else's-field child
Protip: this is a PROFESSIONS thread, not a joblet student thread. You haven't even graduated nor do you have a job. Feel free to brag once both those things happen. Lots of people "study" to become something. Not all of them finish, and fewer still make a career out of it.

Why does Mr. Bigdick Mctonsofcash always post?

>listening to vagina ever regarding life choices

ICU nurse at a large trauma hospital. I would say it's a 6'0 job, would be higher if it paid more.

I'm a food service specialist (cook) in the Marine Corps

Don't go open contract kids.

I'm a housewife

Lol you think I give a fuck? I make more money than you both now and in lifetime earnings, even net of interest. That's the only reason I took on this miserable job.
And before you spew the STEM job reliability meme, you should ask chem and mat engs how their job search is going.

>literally calling Lawyers cucks
>is a fucking university student
Top pip get some perspective you retard

>Network engineer

Spend most days on meetings or escalations

Massive data center where we control the devices and client has a few of them on site and at multiple data centers. End up doing config changes, looking at vulnerability reports from a new client and they are failing scans for still having win xp machines, win 2003 servers in their environment, uncontrolled configuration and bad network setups. End up on conference calls with other engineers and "lan desk specialist" when the issue is on their end but they keep saying its on our end and I'm having to sit through a call with someone who supposedly works in an IT role but doesn't understand how layer 1/2/3 troubleshooting works, they don't know how ICMP works, they don't know why their servers don't work and they just want to keep blaming our network team, and I'm forced to sit through a call with someone saying can you check this, lol it doesn't work that way

Spent most days like this, I get notification of specific tickets and requests directly to my phone, noticed a ticket from today where someone from my team mentioned the wrong information to a client, not sure if it is incompetence or this guy is just too new to understand what he is talking about.

I work at Costco. It's not bad but it's not great so it's a 5'9 maybe or something.

Ya';ll niggas hiring? I could use a career change

It depends on your Costco's turnover, usually turnover is very low so your best chance is applying nearing the seasonal period. I'd say apply September or October at the absolute latest and follow up with a phone call because they filter applicants that way.

>seasonal work
>neet

If you just follow up and do well in the interview they'll hire you, I work with some legitimately retarded people.

Wendy's chef, I make 75k a year

A-are you in Ohio?

>tfw 5'5 and your only interest is ICU or ER

It's fun and working 24 hours per week covers my tiny expenses.

The sad truth is, if you were an accountant, you'd be wishing you could undo ten years of your career and be a graphic designer.

Everyone is miserable no matter what choice they make.

Im a statement clerk easiest job ever.

I'm a male stripper

You don't have to do any math beyond multivariable calc and linear algebra, so your intellect is well within the bounds of what is achievable by a typical, motivated person (like a 2 pl8 squat). Employers will always be able to find people w/ your skills, meaning there is little incentive to hire narcissists who become liabilities, no matter how skilled they are. If you want to do anything w/ that fancy degree of yours you need to focus on your work instead of your personal brand. There are tons of people in your program who are smarter than you and don't give a shit abt other people becoming baristas and shit. Drop your toxic attitude before you eat shit for it.

Senior metal purchaser for a moderately sized recycling company. Don't even know where this falls on the joblet scale.

I'm in pharmacy school but miserable. I applied to one medical school (Canada where I'm from) and will hear back in March.

I like some of the clinical aspects of pharmacy and genuinely love pharmacology, but theres too much pure memorization of guidelines. I miss doing research like in grad school, medicine seems like a good field that will allow me to bridge my clinical/research interests.

Oh and I'm 6'1".

I recommend it to everyone who is looking for a job and doesn't have a direct career in mind.

Every office is full of guys that have been there 20+ years and they are all happy and look 10 years or more younger than the average guy of their age.

I like this bait, it is really elaborate and shit.
