BJJ and Muay Thai, even though the latter takes a huge toll on the body so don't train it as much.
I'm a BJJ coach; so my answer is BJJ.
I really like most Martial Arts though. We have a bunch at our gym. Recently started doing Judo which is pretty fun, but frightening.
I did 4 years of Muay Thai before I stopped and started to just do BJJ. It was great, but some minor injuries have made it hard to train. I'm thinking about getting back to it.
Savate is cool as fuck. Our head coach incorporates it into the striking for self-defense and MMA classes.
Wing chun
mah nigga
Muay Thai doesn't have to take a huge toll on the body.
Started doing judo but considering switching over to BJJ while I'm new. I heard the two are pretty similar but BJJ focuses more on what to do when you're already on the ground.
Any other differences I should expect before I try out BJJ?
It does if you wish to compete, which is what I love doing desu.
Karate, but like most others
Boxing
BJJ will generally be either entirely ground fighting or mostly groundfighting.
The major difference is there are more submissions allowed and pinning doesn't really matter.
