People will only stare and judge if it is clear you aren't putting in an effort to actually improve yourself.
Or if they are idiots who think squats and deadlifts are dangerous
lose weight first and just do bodyweight exercises.
Don't fall for this meme.
I wasted a year of potential progress falling for this DYEL bullshit.
Made literally no gains
No shit, your first goal is to lose weight
>don't listen to this, it made me lose weight
Didn't I see this thread like a month ago? You still haven't started?
You clearly don't have the willpower to start, just go back to drinking gravy you fatso.
ive been losing weight but haven't been to the gym yet so
People will actively avoid you because hysterical black women going ballistic is a common occurrence in gyms. You will be free to lift in peace.
Top kek
OP the best way to think about this is what would you do?
Say you walk in the door and there's a really scrawny guy trying to lift and failing, are you thinking about how pathetic he is? Are you bothered about how much of a loser he is? No you don't care at all, who the fuck even is that guy?
that's pretty much how everyone else feels, you might run into someone being an asshole but they are rare and usually if you report them to gym staff they will never do it again
you have to remember this is a room full of people pumping themselves with endorphins, at the very least they would want to help you and encourage you
nobody is there to compete
I lost more weight AND made gains when I did gslp on a deficit

You can absolutely do both as a novice.
>you can absolutely do both as a novice
I have been lifting for a year, my lifts are intermediate.
I still can make meager gains when running a 750kcal deficit.
You just have to progress slower (i.e. My bench went from 225x8 to 215x10, which is only improvement of 3lb on estimated 1rm - but I can make these tiny improvements every training session- raindrops in a bucket)
Dr. Eric Helms is legit af
>bodyweight memery is better for weight loss than lifting
Literally the opposite of true
Faith?
Nobody cares
