>tfw too intelligent to stretch
Tfw too intelligent to stretch
Static stretching before heavy lifting is a bad idea, so good job
I'd rather be the leaning tower of pisa than a balanced hut of nobody gives a fuck
Who said anything about doing it before lifting
That's retarded
What is this meme
the sticky says this, because apparently it can cause your muscles to tighten up instead of loosening, which can lead to injury.
they suggest doing warm up sets instead
Dynamic stretching before lifting, static after
It's not a meme. Static stretching before heavy lifting can increase the chance of injury
Good to know. This is what I do. I hate static stretching anyway because I have the flexibility of a turtle.
Dynamic stretching. That's the way forward.
You can't stretch cold muscles. Do some warm up sets and then static stretch any muscles which feel a bit tight. You can continue to do this throughout your workout.
Smash some yoga poses at the end of the workout to relax and improve felxability
>tfw constant aches and pains because I never stretch
How though? Just saying it doesn't explain.
anyone else do the stretching in the sticky? I've been doing them for about a month and don't think I've been improving that much
>he fell for the read the sticky meme
Holy shit, please tell me you're doing SS too hahahaha
>not reading the sticky
get the fuck off my board newfag
>calls me a newfag
>doesn't know that sticky is literally a meme to troll newfags
Oh this is just getting better and better
how do I know that you don't lift
Oh I'm sure you've made great gains on those sticky suggested programs. I mean why would someone put false information on the internet, right?
...
anybody have some good dynamic stretch infographics?
Well, thanks for the (You) regardless
You can fatigue your muscles.
need your shit tight and solid not stretch
Holy fuck you're gay
for new lifters
Stretching after working out cut all the soreness by 90%
Also it improves mobility in your lifts so less chance of injury
And i'm speaking of static stretching fgts
>stretching with cold muscles is bad
no shit sherlock, stretching has always been a post workout thing and is godly to stave off soreness
also, suppleness gains are nice as party or bedroom tricks
