Question: I work in warehousing 8 hours a day, mostly on my feet (as I'm sitting down to type this lel). It's not super labor intensive, like most of my job is loading pallets with boxes of cable units inside them. The weights for the boxes range from a couple pounds up to about 1pl8. Would this be in the 1.8 or 2.0 category?

I realize it's not considered a power lift, but I have some form trouble with my overhead press.

My lower back tends arch a bit as a result of my core not being strong enough or not being engaged enough. I'm going to try to focus more on engaging my serratus while pressing, but in the mean time, are there any accessory core exercises you can recommend that can help my overhead press?

I think you can consider a teacher to be 1.8x. Your case I'd say it's 2x, since it involves some physical activity.

That's a great point, thank you. I worked on good mornings but it increased my sciatica (even with empty bar and good bracing). I'll look into something else for posterior chain work.

If you're still there, were you experiencing sciatica during rest days as well? I feel it progressing during my rest days but I don't have pain while working out. Not sure if I should stop and do some light cardio for a week + flexibility work which you've noted.

Hm... I don't know, 4000-4500 kcal doesn't seem unreasonable to maintain 100kg bodyweight for someone who trains and has a manual labour job.

If you're unsure about it, start with 3500-4000 and see how much you weigh at the end of the week. Then you decide if you should increase the intake or not.

Week 2 of prep 2, you start on prep 1 :P
