While cardio is important lifting is still necessary for health. Muscle mass raises your TDEE so you won't get fat when you get old. Also low muscle mass in women is the #1 risk for osteoperosis.

I lift because it makes me not go home early after uni and gives me something to do. Im somewhat good at it, turns out I squat the deepest in my uni rec center (kind of autistically proud of that) and it relieves my stress. Has made me happier and slightly more confident, posture is fixed now.

GG some people like different things. But i do think everyone should maintain some sort of health aspect to their lives(running, swimming, yoga, healthy eating)
