Pure gym in coventry is epic. has like 3 squat racks a power rack with lifting and 3 benches its epic senpai and theres a cardio room where you can plug your phone in a play zyzz aesthetic playlist

I hear sometimes about the pure gyms in the cities. Someone said theirs had strong man equipment. Not sure if they were truthing like, but either way I hear they get better. Can't wait until I go to uni and catch a subscription to a proper one

one room was a lifting stage and olympic weights, really never expected it when i went

im not trying to shill pure gym is amazing, 24/7, no annoying staff to greet. just go through the doors and lift

Usually they have this but it's only if you stay in their accommodation or some shit

I'm Cheshire myself. Go to a tiny gym that's part of a hotel leisure centre.

Not the best equipped in the world, but always fucking empty so I get the run of the place. Only real downside compared to a "proper" gym is a Smith instead of a squat rack, but I hit 2pl8 on that alone, then went to a real gym with a mate, and could squat that with a free bar no issue.

Does the job anyway until I get a home gym setup.

I like the aesthetics of the lifts as well. I want to lift to be stronk but I think oly lifting is cooler imo. I just thought that I might acquire weightlifter aesthetics as a side benefit

Was under the impression the uni had some sort of gym, but I may be mistaken.
Have you tried any others? I've only just decided to start lifting so I don't really know which gyms in the area are good / bad.

i go to skydome's puregym. the oly platform is good. the weights only go up to 40kg in dumbbells. i like the gym, the PTs are a bit meme-like. guy who is obviously on roids. "nah bro, i dont take roids, im natty" - PT. i hate the jew PT, he's too... jeweish. if you guys have questions, fire away

city is quite cool, though. i hate that piece of Coventry between pure gym and IKEA.

I'm in Bristol and the puregyms here are ok, too many idiot worker drones, dyels ego lifting, chinese people doing chinese things etc. if you go at non peak times though you can get at the free weights and cable machines easily enough

i pay £20 for use of one gym but if you pay £25 you can use multiple ones? idk and id never need to do that
