As someone who ate 1000cal per day AND started lifting at the same time, I can say that you're not feeling hunger pangs.
I never felt it, so sure as fuck you're not feeling either.

Not sure what his diet is. But on keto shit like chopped cucumbers/pickles/spinich are perfect for snacking without going overboard.

I like to sautee up a bunch of vegetables because they're very low calores, usually onion green pepper and jalapenos.

then I usually do 200-400 calories worth of either chicken breast, salmon, ground beef, or cod.

Follow that up with 500-700 calories worth of rice, and another 250 calories worth of beans.

for desert I have some a greek yogurt and either some almonds or pistachios.

I guarantee you weight loss, and you can survive on less that 3 dollars a day!

IF is literally the greatest thing ever. Bunch of health benefits, curbs appetite, burn fat more efficiently.

I am so much leaner when on IF, stupidly went off it for a winter bulk. Never again.

It doesn't matter. IF is good for cutting because you can place your eating window midday and feel full for the most part when you're awake.
I started lifting in January down to 249 from 280 and have been eating at 1600 cal a day for awhile. I eat from 2pm to 10pm.
I dont feel hungry since most of my waking hours I'm allowed to eat. IF might not do anything extra for you, but It is good to mitigate
hunger and makes it easier for me to stick with diet since its hard enough to eat 1600 in eight hours anyway.

everything should be ~1400 just tailor it for your needs. Micronutrients should all be there, maybe you'll be a little low on calcium.
