At what point would you go to the hospital?

At what point would you go to the hospital?

My eyes have been really red and hurt for weeks now and I don't know what to do. I'm scared but it also doesn't seem like a medical emergency. Is it worth going to check this shit out or get some sort of referral to a specialist?

....Stop looking at bright rectangles?
....Get some sleep?
....Stop smoking weed?

....Oh

Stop looking at bright rectangles.

None of this helped.

I remember this dank thread.

>TFW it's not dank and my shit is still fucked up

the reason men die younger is that exact logic of think (it's not an emergency).
If you auvergne a problem get it seen to.

Dude it's just fucking embarrassing though.

One time I had severe pain in my balls and was complaining on Veeky Forums and you guys told me to go to the hospital and I did and doctor felt my balls and then a QT ultrasounded my balls FOR NOTHING. It went away two days later and was fine.

I don't want to look like an idiot again but this shit is rly rly bothering me

user, I'm studying pharmacy so maybe I can help.

Eyes are red? Both of them? Any itching or watering? Do you have allergies? Do you stare at your computer all day in the dark? Have you tried anything to relieve the redness?

Go have it seen to or deal with the consequences.

They're not red, it's just I have a lot of red liney things(blood vessels?) that are really visible in both eyes and never go away. Also kind of hurt and feel like pressure in eyes.

No itching or watering, I tried otc eye drops but they don't seem to help.

you're right dude

Worst case scenario ill just wait a,long time. Better get it fucken checked.

hi /hit/

this morning my grandmother fell in the bathbub, I was still sleeping, was awaken by her screams, went straight to the bathroom, and pulled her out by lifting her from her hands
(her head had hit the wall, her ass was in the bottom of the bathtub and her legs out of it like a woman with her legs open)
she is quite heavy, like 70 kgs

immediately after that my left shoulder begun to feel pain, and I still feel it late at night.
should I wait 2 or 3 days to see if it heals on its own by resting or do I go to the hospital?

first time I get injured that isnt a cut or a bruise, I think its the tendon that hurts.

sorry if if someone answers and I dont answer back, Ill try to sleep now but will keep the thread open to see the answers tomorrow.

Yeah I'd go see a doctor for that. For those blood vessels to be present for so long even after trying some eye drops it could need a prescription ointment or something.

You could go to your local pharmacy and ask for something for the pain in the meantime but please go see a doctor soon.

sorry for mispelling your board Veeky Forums

The thing is I saw an optometrist and they said it was okay

Real fucking worried now though. I think I'm going to try the hospital for real.

You can try applying some heat to it 15 minutes on, 15 minutes off throughout the day. Make sure not to apply heat directly to your skin so you don't get burned. You can also try something like Bengay or IcyHot. It'll take a few days for the pain to go away but if it doesn't go away after trying some at home care and it hurts to use your shoulder I'd see a doc.

I feel like this is a troll but I can't be sure.

You just talk about your grand mother falling and screaming from pain so nonchalantly...

Is your vision changing at all? And the optometrist said that they looked okay? No recommendations on lifestyle changes or at home treatment?

Pls post a pic so I can see. It may not be that bad.

I wish I could but I dont have a good camera. It's not THAT bad but looks bad most of the day.

The optometrist just said my vision got a bit worse since last prescription, told me to take otc eyedrops and rest my eyes more.

What the fuck is wrong with people

Just go to the hospital, bite the bullet and pay for your fucking health. Maybe you'll have to buy fewer games on Steam and stop getting morning coffees for a while to fund it. Big deal.

It's free here...

didnt you make a post about this two weeks ago?

Yes...

Take breaks from the computer and at least look out the window. Wear sunglasses or protective eyewear when you're outside incase there's anything in the air irritating them. You can also try a humidifier at night to see if that helps.

Get an appointment with the local eye doctor. He will prescribe some drops that will help.

Fuck it ill just go to the hospital. It's free here so there's no reason for me not to go.

At worst ill have wasted my time on nothing.

not a troll, she was screaming for help, because she couldnt get up, not in pain.
It is me who got injured from helping her, she didnt get injured apart from some bruises.

Finding it hard to find a comfortable position to sleep btw.

If it's free then go for it. I'm interested to see what they say so please post your results when you get back.

It's night right now ill go tomorrow or weekend...

do you have urgent/express care equivalent where you live? basically non-emergency but non-appointment doctors (like a free clinic, but not free)

Jesus Christ is a little bit of embarrassment worth risking a serious health problem developing?

No but it just feels so bad sitting for many hours, next to people legitimately visibly injured or sick... but you're definitely right. Better to figure if everything is fine.
