are you telling me.. 1 pl8 OHP is only 40kg in total?
so I've been 1pl8ing ohp for reps all this time yet my other lifts are so weak?
am I wrong or what

1pl is 60kg you fucking mong
lmao no, you've been doing lol1bar OHPs
ok so.. if 1/2/3/4 is how many pl8s you have on EACH side of the bar,
1 pl8 = 45 lbs
for each side, x2, = 90 lbs in total
90 lbs = 40kg
The bar weighs 20kg. If you held two plates in hand, disconnected from a bar, and OHPed that, you'd OHP 40kg.
ANOTHER "don't count the bar" thread
I thought the consensus was that you didn't count the bar
the weight I OHP in total, NOT including the bar, is 40kg, am I pressing 1 pl8 then or not?
I must be surely
>i dont count the weight im lifting
yeah i also warm up with 0kg.
So when you ohp just the bar, you ohp 0 kg?
You fucking retard
Jesus fucking Christ why would you not count the fucking bar?
You're pressing the bar, you count the bar.
The weight for a barbell lift is always plates on both sides + the bar. Not just the plates. Not just the plates on one side. Everything you press, you press.
1/2/3/4 = 60/100/140/180 kg = 135/225/315/405 lbs
(which is not exactly the same because 20kg = 44lbs. lb plates are 45, kg plates are 20, which is why there is a slight difference in the exact weight of "X plates")
